Heartbreaking and touching this game offers a lot. While there might be some plot holes, the story itself is a fantastic adventure, especially when playing Chris (and Diane). It made me think about a lot of things and that alone makes it worthy a 9. Soundtrack is also worth mentioning, it fits perfectly with the game.

Tactically Musical Story Teller. That is the genre that I believe would be most befitting to this title. Game itself is pleasurable to play, if a bit difficult in later battles. Tactically similar to xcom or jagged alliance, however musically similar to ... nothing, really. The game has the best soundtrack I have ever experienced in any game ever and I have over 1500 finished titles on my account. Every time I hear "Paper Boats", I burst into a bubble engulfed with emotions and tears falling from my eyes. Nothing has ever moved my soul as this game's soundtrack. I fully recommend listening to it on yt. So, if you're in for the musical feast, then please enter and enjoy this experience to the fullest, because I am afraid that for a long time we shan't have an equal to the Transistor.

It's a pretty pleasurable to play hack'n'slash, you can play either mage, archer or warrior, there is no ability tree, all the abilities are gained from items, which is an interesting way, even if not exactly functioning. Basically a character can have 3 skills and each skill costs energy, problem is ... that energy is not regenerating, you have to either take a nap every encounter (in the beginning one group of enemies will force you to deplete your energy ...) or drink some potions, which are relatively difficult to come by, unless you have enough plants to craft a potion. The game also puts a lot of importance on crafting, the "lightbringer" can basically craft anything, helmet, chest, sword, bow, staff etc., as long as you find/buy the recipe of course. What I liked most about the game were the side quests, somehow they were pleasurable enough for me to complete all of them, even if they proved to be a pain in the ass ... Combat is challenging, especially in the beginning, but the longer you play, the easier it gets as they say. I honestly don't know why I finished the game, it didn't feel special in any way and yet it was pleasurable enough not to just quit and forget about, I was on a quest to save the embers and that's what I had to do!

One word FANTABULOUS!!! This game is an absolute mix of everything, crazy humor, RPG elements, Final Fantasy, lots of cameos (Geralt, Dovakhin, Luffy, Lord Veldermort, Trachett, you name it!), drama, a little romance, a little betrayal, lots of sarcasm and plenty of originality. I swear I have not played a better game for ages, I mean some of the scenes I couldn't stop laughing, and there was not a game I remember that I laughed so much from (that drama entrance of Mordecai and his two sidekicks, and when the door shut back, I just lost it). Thought it's true that there are some imperfections, such as lack of large healing potions, ability tree is also rather laughable, not to mention potions long cd and rather difficult fights at some places but NONE of that matters, the plot, the dialogues and characters is what makes this game so special and so precious. It's similar to Bard's tale, but as much as I finished Bard's tale in a hurry and somewhat "I just want this to end" manner, Zenith made me afraid ... Afraid that at some point, this great adventure will come to an end, so I tried to delay the inevitable by checking out all the game's got to offer. Maybe the authors hit my kind of humor, but if you like good old sarcasm in the best performance available, you won't find a better game, trust me. As we all should agree that the Witcher is the best RPG of the year, so we all should agree that Zenith is the best comedy game of century! (Last time I laughed so hard was playing Monkey Island ...). LONG LIVE THE INFINIGON!

Simply fantastic, the choices finally matter, the ending was a bit of a cliche buut I'l let that slide, I honestly had fun and I believe that it couldn't have been done any better.

The beauty of discovering the bits and pieces of this scifi plot is absolutely genious, it'll give you the goosebumps that's for sure but don't weaver. For the ending is worth it all, in a way if you follow the concept the ending shouldn't have been surprising and yet, the truth is hard to swallow. Enjoy.
