Pros: Graphics look great. Gameplay is mostly the same with slight button layout, which makes somersault and u turns easier than on a 64 controller. Multi-player surprisingly is fun online. The new cutscenes in between levels are mostly good and give more chacter in story. Cons: The character design to me is very ugly and uncanny. This goes for enemy looks too, probably the worst redesign is one of the lizard generals who looks like a abomination in area 6. Falco looks the worst out of the main characters, I don't know if it's the uncanny human eyeballs or his head is too small it's just unsettling for me. Katt is also butchered in this new hyper realistic mode, where she somehow looks like she smokes. I think if they went for a more cartoon style, and or added like frog eyes to sloppy they could make this style work. It just doesn't work for me compared to the original. Probably the worst thing overall is the voice acting. Compared to 64 the voice acting is far worse. Two examples is the shogun general and the train general. The shogun general in the remake is completely changed, probably to make it more kid friendly. Where when you defeat him he just says "that was a honorable defeat" and awkwardly explodes like it was inconvenient. Then the train general in the original would panic if you hit all the locks and yell "stop! Hit the brakes! I can't stop it aghhh!", because he literally about to crash and explode. In the new one he also just awkwardly yells "stop. Hit the brakes.", he doesn't yell or act panic and he awkwardly explodes too. Those two and many other enemy units just sound rushed or unfinished, because most don't sound scared or taughting. They all sound almost bored. Other side chacters like bill and Katt have completely different style of talking. Bill and Katt almost sounds generic, like if you played their voice compared to most the other cast you probably wouldn't know who it was. The main cast I think did well however. This game doesn't add much compared to 64. So it left me wishing there was more new content added. Like more planets or routes. Or even fights with star wolf. And I wish they added content that was added to star fox zero with a more accessible control scheme. One small con I have is the enemies do not flash red now when they are damaged. Which if your brand new to the game might be hard to know if your hitting the weak points. Overall: I think the game graphics and environment are very good. I liked most of the cutscenes they added, although some millennial humor is in some, overall I liked seeing the outcomes and the differenent paths. Multi-player isn't something I like or play often, but my time with star fox online mode was fun. However, the design of most characters and their voice acting ruin most scenes. Lack of new content also makes it hard to recommend it at its current price tag. Tldr: if you love star fox 64, you probably will like this too. I don't think it's superior, but makes it a worthy entry.

Alien: Isolation9
Apr 8, 2026
I'm biased, because the first alien movie is probably my favorite. This game feels like you jumped into that movie. The environment looks great. The xenomorph is also looks great, and it's also very intelligent. Which makes it hard to sneak around or fight it. I think this game still holds up all this time. The two things I would complain about is that it get very repetitive after while, and on newer hardware it's more prone to glitch graphically.

I personally like the tracks and even the intermission tracts are good in my opinion. I think I have the most fun with other people in person or online. I also liked making our own grand prix by doing 32 tracks in a row. I wish there was more to see in the open world part. I would give this a 10 if they let us make our own knockout tour.

I don't think that the controls were as bad as people were made to believe when this game released. But I've found myself over the years replaying this game because it genuinely has some really fun levels. Very underrated game.

Had fun playing and trying to get all the achievements. However I wish the cut areas and content from the first game made it in.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A2
Feb 13, 2026
Played Pokémon since diamond on my ds. This doesn't feel fun to play, and doesn't feel like anything Pokémon relayed. Bland areas. Bland city. And I hate how there's like 4 Pokémon in a tiny park to "explore". Some new mega Pokémon are cool, but more of them are just dumb looking. Truly was looking forward to this game, only to end disappointed. In fact more I think of it the lower the score I want to give haha.

Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars9
Dec 10, 2025
One my favorite games on the 3ds. It's a dungeon crawler jrpg with dating mechanics. So like persona games mixed with Pokémon because you made the units you go and fight with called star children. I love every star maiden in this game. Each one is a 10/10. The gameplay can get repetitive but I always tell people to use the auto fight button, as it makes fights go easier and faster if used correctly. The only downside is there not much guides on how to get every star child class and where to get them so be prepared to either do research online or on the game. It's much harder to get this game nowadays but I see it available on steam. So I would highly recommend playing it. I like this one more compared to the other game.

Conception PLUS: Maidens of the Twelve Stars9
Dec 10, 2025
I played this after playing conception 2 on the 3ds and I enjoyed that game alot. If I had to describe this game it's simply a dungeon crawler with dating elements. Gameplay wise, the combat can get very repetitive. However, if you utilize the auto battle effectively it makes almost every battle a breeze. The main draw of the game will probably be the story with each star maiden. Where you do several outings with each to increase their affection. I personally liked every character in this game which made it enjoyable. I enjoyed the mechanics of the Star children and making a super strong one was also a fun part of the game. Overall it's not the best jrpg game ever made, but it's really fun. I would recommend playing it if you love jrpgs like persona. I would wish they make a sequel as conception 2 was one of my favorite games on the 3ds. Don't listen to other people who clutch their pearls over these games, they're underrated and I found them very fun.
