It might not be the next Pixar's "Inside Out", but it is fun and enjoyable. Great for kids, but if you are an adult who believes in the Spirit of Christmas, you'll probably enjoy it as well.

"Aquarius" is one of those masterpieces that, weeks after you have seen the movie, still haunts you. Every little detail in the movie is so well built and important. Nothing is useless here.

Definetely, not a movie for everyone. But if you are mature and experienced, you might relate to the main character's issues, and understand the movie's bittersweet tone. If you go to the movies, go with an open mind (and heart). It is a very different, yet very human experience.

Boy and the World9

At the same time, the movie is extremely simple in its animation, but complex in its themes. Yet, neither the simplicity makes it poor nor its complexity pedantic. Moreover, the best thing in the movie is its universal language and approach. The lack of dialogues or of a explicit language or country makes the movie so human and universal, allowing a vast public, from different countries and ages to feel emotional with the movie.

The Second Mother10

No wonder the movie has received such positive reviews from public and critics, both in Sundance and Berlin. The movie is both masterful and delightful, with a well-written and heartfelt plot, that will appeal equally to the most demanding movie critic as well to the average moviegoer in search of a fun movie. The movie is not intended to be a comedy, but every scene feels so natural and true, that even the most ordinary act (such as eating ice-cream) will make the audience smile and even shed some tears.

Refreshing story about the effects of World War II. More than any other movie, this is the one that perhaps best describes the short-term effects of the war in one's identity, personality and relationships.

Mad Max: Fury Road10
May 17, 2015
It is not even June yet and MAD MAX can be said to be the best movie of 2015. Perhaps the best action movie in a decade or two. As there are movies considered milestones for the action genre (THE MATRIX, DIE HARD, TERMINATOR, etc), MAD MAX can also be considered as a milestone for apocaliptical action movies.

As most romantic movies, this is somewhat predictable at a certain point, but still pleasant. For those who enjoy romance and drama, this is a really nice show that will bring you to tears.

Unpredictable, hilarious and extremely relevant! This is one of the best movies EVER made in history. Every story is so well acted and directed in a way that it is impossible not to relate to at least one of them, and to truly understand the pains that each character goes through. It is a movie that deals with very delicate and serious issues, but they are presented in such an unpredictable manner that it is impossible not to laugh, making it a perfect tragicomedy.

I'm not a Formula 1 fan, but this movie was really appealing to me. The development of characters and plot are so well constructed that it is impossible no to enjoy this movie as a master piece.

This movie is must-see for anyone studying journalism, language or publicity. It shows how the perception a people have from reality is is shaped by media. The movie shows both sides of politics, and both of them can be said to present only true facts. Nevertheless, the interpretation of facts is what will make our perception of "truth". The movie shows the political campaing in a very light and funny manner, never ignoring the harships Chileans went through during Pinochet's dictatorship.

Clandestine Childhood9

This is the type of movie that might not interest a large. It is a movie that shows the perception of a child near puberty during the violent dictatorship in Argentina. It is very likely that the public in South America, who saw and felt the consequences of dictatorship, will relate to it, whereas public from other countries that did not experience the same trauma. Yet, it is a good movie, with great interpretations from the children. What is more, this movie shows how the relation between politics and family relationships, specially when children are involved, can be extremely delicate and dangerous.

We Have a Pope10
Apr 7, 2012
Having been born and raised in Brazil, perhaps the world's most Catholic country, movies that depict the Catholic church are usually biased. They often portray Catholic priests as either extremely perfect or extremly evil. In "We Have a Pope", however, no single character is either way. Every character is perfectly human. The Cardinals are portrayed as any other professional is. Everyone loves the religious calling, but some tend to be extremely obedient whereas others tend to be more relaxed; some find their profession revigorating, whereas others find it dull sometimes. And, this is true of any job: no matter where one works at, people are human to like or dislike the job sometimes. And perhaps the most human character in the movie is the protagonist, the elected Pope who is too afraid to accept his new calling. He comes to a point in life where he realizes that there are unfulfiled dreams in his life that he wishes to accomplish; there are things he has never experienced before and that make him see life in a whole new manner. And, again, that is true of many of us. We might reach a point in our life when we look back and wonder if that is the career or the life we really wanted for ourselves.
In the end, it is not a movie about a pope or a priest, but rather, a movie about us, humans, trying to better understand our deep fears, desires and convictions.
