The series is OK. It's not great. I've seen 8 episodes already and I am not impressed. To be honest, I am watching it, because I want to be back in the world of Westeros. I can't speak for anyone else. But, when I rewatch season 1 of Game of Thrones, I see a significant difference in Quality writing and acting. One would think, that the new series would at least, up their level of writing and acting. But, comparing both season 1 of Game of Thrones with what I see from season 1 of House of the Dragon, Game of Thrones is far superior. I am not a fantasy genre fan. I am just a casual watcher, who likes to watch good shows and movies. So far, I have yet to see anything from House of the Dragon, that would suggest that it's better than Game of Thrones. In any way. I am not trying to bad-mouth the series. This is not my intention. I am making an observation. I am quite sure, that there are people who love what they are seeing, from House of the Dragon. To each his own. Again. I will watch House of the Dragon, because I enjoy the world of Westeros. Hopefully, HBO has more spinoffs coming out soon. But, House of the Dragon is OK. It's not GREAT.

The show was pretty awesome! I re-watched it 3 times. I found myself glued to Maisie Williams character. Also, Sian Clifford's character is great as well. Without a doubt, Sian & Maisie has great chemistry together on screen. I really love the fight scenes with Maisie. At times I had to remember that this is not Game of Thrones and don't expect Arya-like performances. However, that's what we got. I dare say that because HBOMax picked up this show, Maisie Williams and Sian Clifford could possibly be nominated for Emmys for the 2021 season. I am looking forward to season 2. I can't wait to see who this Terry is and will there be a nemesis for Kim in season 2, if they get the greenlight. Anyway, this was a great first season.
