- This game was an almost entirely new concept for me, which actually challenged my brain a bit. Using Pikmin as your weapon, your tools, and forgeable all in one is definitely unique.- OST is overall very weak. I understand we're on an alien planet so the music is supposed to symbolise that, but that's all it does. There no sense of feeling from any of the music, which is a shame.- The game makes it very easy for you to reset your day if you want to. Almost urges you to, which is a tool I definitely utilised. In fairness, while the game feels like kids were the target audience, there are many ways to quickly lose a majority of your Pikmin via very small mistakes. I can see why it is so easy to just restart the day.- Quite the variety of enemies I was quite impressed by.- I know In the Night Garden is a show for toddlers, but the general art style and scenery gives me those vibes.- I don't know who was possessed to do this, but on the final area, the music is very creepy. Something I might expect to hear on a play ground in the Resident Evil universe, not quite from a kids game.- This game is very small. However, it doesn't feel like the mainline quests were actually the main focus of this game. It feels more like an arcade game with quests added later to give the solo player something to do. There's definitely a 'High Score' aura about this game. Less about just beating it, and more about how little days you can beat it in. Considering that, the replayability is almost infinite, especially with the arcade mode.

Decent little DLC. Good level of content. We weren't huge on the back pack system. The campfire idea was just the same as the spit from Surf 'n' Turf DLC as well. A little less innovative than the first DLC but I'd still consider it worthy in terms of paid additional content.

Excellent addition to a game. A DLC worthy of it's name. Plenty of content, another NG+ grind, new recipes, new mechanics... as far as DLC's go, this is definitely worth the extra spending. Was a bit easy but I'm not sure if that's because we got so much practice 100%ing the main game.

I did write a whole review and I lost it so here's the rundown. The game is okay. It has plenty of collectables, a decent story and some excellent voice acting. However, the target audience is clearly children. It doesn't run all too smoothly and is updated rarely. The physics isn't perfect. I actually had to uninstall and reinstall the game at one point just to progress. 2 of the achievements I need to get, I can't, one of them because I don't have any other friends with this game and the other because of a bug. It does have its moments of fun, but to be honest, I'm left with no desire to play a sequel that might come out in the future.

Despite my partner having little experience in gaming when we first started playing this game, we still eventually managed to 4 star every level together. She managed to get to grips with it pretty well over time. Because of this, I think it's fair to say that this is a very good place to start if you're looking at getting your partner into gaming. It Takes Two and Split Fiction are much more of a learning curve to put it into perspective. We had arguments, laughed uncontrollably, and really had to lock in at times when playing this game. It's a rollercoaster of emotions, and it's absolutely brilliant. The levels are never too long, the challenges are of reasonable difficulty, the games runs perfectly on the Series X, the controls and movement are very fluid. There were never any complaints about the game and its functions, just about the players and their functions. We were lucky enough to get this on Gamepass, but the price point of £20 seems well worth it for this game, ONLY if you have a partner to play with though. With no history in the red faction universe whatsoever, I had no idea what to expect. Overall though, this game was better than I expected it to be. I like how its one constant flow with load times instead of separate levels, was a totally unexpected element. It makes you feel as though you're a part of the whole story instead of skipping through some parts. The vehicle physics were actually totally fine. A bit rough here and there but for its age I was content with it. Still 10x more acceptable than Battlefield **** difficulties confused me a bit. Toward the end of the story when I was on my first playthrough on Normal, it got very hard. The fact I can get one-shot through a wall from max health and shields just felt a bit punishing for Normal difficulty. All I kept thinking to myself was "If this is normal, I don't think I'll even be able to touch Impossible". Turns out, I could, and I breezed through. It was easier as I played the Impossible playthrough on PC whilst my Normal playthrough was on PS2, but even so, I can't even distinguish now what the true difference were. Enemies all seemed to have the same health. I think maybe you take more damage? But I don't think it's by much. I love old game like this. This one in particular was very ambitious, and I think it did very well. Wide variety of different weapon types, decent enemy variety, more than one boss, a mix of environments, plenty of mission types to keep you interested, and some interesting plot developments. I'd say it's a decent length for its age too.

Borderlands has always been a favorite of mine, and the first Borderlands game was in-fact the first one I had. It is clear to see why this is the least favorite to a lot of the fan-base, especially if their first impression of the Borderlands universe was Borderlands 2 because, as we all know, Borderlands 2 is a masterpiece. There are things this game has that the others don't, though. Primarily, the grit and realism of a barren planet like Pandora is portrayed best in the first Borderlands game. This is something that, while present, is less prominent in Borderlands 2, then is pretty much absent from The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 3. I like the grit with the occasional humor. I like hearing General Knoxx's comedic self loathing before slowing my approach to Crawmerax the Invincible as I see the blood coated corpses on the way to its elevator. Borderlands 1 is not without its many, many quirks, but without it, we wouldn't have the amazing universe and the characters within it that we have today. This is the first Borderlands game I grinded pearlescent gear in. While the grind is painfully repetitive, when Tsunami dropped from Crawmerax the Invincible on the 50th defeat, I leaped from my chair and yelled. I've not felt that way playing a video game in literally years. Probably when I packed a Team of the Season player on Fifa 14. Experiencing this, it's brought a whole new perspective to the end-game elements of Borderlands to me. I get it now. I understand why people empty thousands of hours into these games beyond the story. I won't be taking part, but at least now I can say I understand. Had a lot of fun playing through this again. Its a shame that the GOTY remaster still has a lot of the annoying glitches in it (e.g. enemies spawning out of reach in slaughter-domes), but I managed to max out my Lilith save in the end despite the technical issues on the way. (All quests complete on both playthroughs, 80/80 achievements, 1 pearlescent Tsunami, 93h 45m (acc. in-game stats), 115h 35m (acc. Xbox stats) on completion.)

I don't know why it has taken me this long to play a Resident Evil game, but I'm glad I waited. I don't think my adolescent brain would have appreciated it as much as I have. The PS1 is a bit old for my generation. I grew up with my earliest consoles being the PS2 and DS Lite, but spent most of my childhood on an Xbox 360. Because of this, I expected much less for a PS1 game. The world was plenty large enough, the narrative was prominent, the items were great. I even noticed some quality-of-life implementations (e.g. the map colouring the rooms you've entered) which definitely surprised me for a game of this age. The innovation and technical ability of the console and the developers from 1996 for a 3D game blew my expectations well out of the water. There is something very eerie about this game. I knew nothing of Resident Evil before playing this one, so I was expecting it to be much 'scarier', I suppose, than it was. There was only one occasion I can remember where I was jump-scared. But that was it. Even for a game this early, they were relying on the creepy nature of the art style and sounds to freak you out instead of resorting to cheap jump-scares. Brilliant. Exactly what I wanted from a thriller/survival horror game. The puzzles were excellent. I knew it was heavy on puzzles before playing and was sort of expecting to have to google some at some point, but actually, I managed to complete the game start to finish on my first playthrough with no research at all. I'm not saying it's easy, but I am saying it is totally doable if you take mental notes throughout your playthrough. Each time I solved a puzzle and got to the next significant part of the game it felt really good. The voice acting is absolutely terrible, I love it. I need to know more about these people. Were they trying to be that bad on purpose? Were they actors? Did the development team have volunteers, then decided to select each employee that didn't volunteer? Were they being forced at gunpoint to read from the script? Lastly, why did it improve my interpretation of the game drastically? I found myself in moments of frustration due to the very old school save system. I totally understand having limited saves. It makes the player much more careful throughout their experience, forcing the player to take more time in each of their decisions. BUT, when you've saved the game at the nearest possible point near a part that you're stuck on, it is annoying having to repeat the un-skippable cut-scenes and/or the route each time you inevitably fail. All in all, this game was an excellent experience. I enjoyed (almost) every second. If you're thinking about starting out your Res Evil journey, do it. This game made it to my top 10 (25/04/25).

(This review is about multiplayer only). Despite CoD being popular all year round all the time, there was something about this one that got people playing even more. I had no plans on playing this one though. I've played and owned every single CoD during their prime from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) all the way up to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022). Then when I saw the sequel to the 2022 addition was essentially just an update, I was put off immediately. I'm not paying AAA price for an update, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought so. Well, this time, it was on Game Pass. I told myself I would not try it because I knew if I did, I'd get hooked. Then I saw some of my mates, whom of which have not played CoD in years, were playing Black Ops 6. Every Day. So, yes, I fell victim to the hype and gave it a go. Unfortunately, it's a good game, and now I have Dark Matter so... says a lot.Keep in mind throughout this review, all my comparisons are from 2022 and earlier as I did not play the 2023 release. There was one particular thing that disappointed me a little from the very beginning, and that was the gunsmith. They've taken a step back on attachments and they've essentially become gun perks again. Many upsides to using them, not very many downsides. On top of that, they're not as creative as the ones I remember from Modern Warfare (2019). You used to be able to customize an LMG into basically a heavy SMG, or turn your SMG into an AR. Now they're just a bit boring. I suppose it keeps the gun from straying away from its origin but I liked thinking about how I wanted the gun to operate to suit my playstyle and dealing with the sacrifices that came with **** camo challenges themselves take on a new structure that I generally don't like compared to other CoD's too. I liked when the challenges were all about the gun. Like 50 kills with no attachments instead of 50 kills with some unrelated perk equipped. The 100 headshots is fine, that's a common occurrence among the camo grinds, but having to earn Dark Matter on each gun separately? hmm, I don't know about that one. The biggest flex about getting every mastery challenge done on every gun was the camo. Now you can just get the camo on your favorite gun and just leave the rest unfinished. Dark Matter used to say "Hey look I've completed every weapon", now it just says "Hey look this is my favorite weapon"... much less interesting if you ask me. There is a calling card for getting 33 guns Dark Matter (there were 33 guns on release, that which I have accomplished myself), but nobody is looking at your calling card y'know?Nothing interesting about the OST on this at all. Menu music never changes, even through themed updates. Nothing unique about the songs in game at all. But it's CoD, what else can you expect? It'll never match the eerie-ness of World at War or the electronic aesthetic of Black Ops **** Squid Game update. Don't get me wrong, it was actually kind of cool. They implemented Red Light, Green Light as a game mode, brought out some pretty cool skins, and had a Squid Game themed event. They even implemented a limited time score-streak related to the show. When playing with Squid Game rules, the music would change in-game to a score from the show. The whole thing was pretty cool. But holy smokes, they really do not care about subtlety when it comes to money grabs and strategic alliances do they? There are so many microtransactions in this game. When the TMNT update came out they released the turtles as skins with it. But you couldn't buy all 4 skins in a bundle, no. You had to buy each skin separately which would set you back £60GBP. £60 for 4 turtle skins and a bunch of filler content? holy smokes dude. Money is very clearly the TOP priority of this game.I like that they tried to make the maps generally smaller. You can tell too. There aren't many medium-large maps. But it's a real shame that none of the base-game maps are good. There are fewer good maps than bad ones on here which is a real shame, because sometimes they can really nail it with maps. Modern Warfare 2 for example, on both releases actually, I can't think of a map I truly hated. On Black Ops 6 however, I'd find myself baring many of **** in all, I enjoyed this CoD. I will be back to complete camos on the new guns as the seasons release, but after the amount of time I will have ended up putting into this one, I think I'll give the 2025 CoD a miss for now.(131h 28m boots-on-the-ground time on completion acc. in-game stats. Overwatch is one of 3 games that, to this day, I have over 1000 hours on. When I first started playing it back in 2016, it brought a whole new dynamic to teamwork in a video game. It was always so exciting when you hit a 4+ man with a **** or Reaper ultimate. There isn't a game I've played that matches the energy quite like this as of yet. I suppose that shows considering I'm still playing the game now, almost 9 years later. The game is smooth in regards to gameplay and stability and is still consistently updated to this day. There was quite a bit of a learning curve for this game before Ranked came out and a LOT has changed since then. Despite all the new heroes (21 on 28/01/25), my main is still Roadhog, and I think it will be forever.Even though the devs like to implement things into Overwatch that don't really serve much of a purpose, I will never speak badly of this game. Even if Marvel Rivals takes **** game and its community has changed drastically since its release, but I still have some good fun with it.

When we first got playing this game there was no doubt that it was of a high quality but, as Game of the Year 2021, I did have very high expectations. Forgive me if this review is a bit critical. The game has a lot of very random things you can do and interact with that have no relation to the game in any way. No XP, no hidden narrative, just a fun little random thing you can do. Like eat all the sweets in the snow globe... why can I do that? what did it do? Nothing at all is the answer, but it's cool that I can. It's kind of like a digital playground in a way. Each chapter is set in a very unique area and each one displays its own sense of beauty. There's a lot of nostalgia and art derived from what I suspect is personal adolescent experiences from the developers and designers. It's unfortunate that the beauty is somewhat hindered by the split screen, but I suppose they didn't really have much choice. What baffled me slightly is that, despite all the effort that went into designing these levels and coming up with unique challenges for each chapter, there's no real incentive to experience the game more than once. There are only 20 achievements, there's no NG+, there's not even any collectables if you don't count || the mini games. I love exploring areas exactly like the ones in It Takes Two but again, I'm not really given a good reason to do so. I personally think adding some sort of collectable per level would have been much more fun for me personally. It Takes Two is actually much longer than I thought it would be. Just to beat, not even to fully complete. Just as you think you might be in the second half of the game, you're given a new objective that takes even longer than the original one. So there is a slight commitment you and your gaming partner have to accept before playing this game, especially if you plan on beating it. The game is heftily narrative driven and, of course, incredibly predictable. I'll be honest, in the first sort of 30% of the game, I was a little tired of it based on its narrative. I understand the characters are in a childlike alternate fantasy world so nothing is realistic, but sometimes the characters just sort of know exactly what to do with no prior warning or information. They'll just say something like "ooh, I know, we'll do this", and then it just works. Again, I know it's fantasy, but it's also a little lazy coming from the writers. But... as the game draws nearer to its end, I started getting much more into the story and || the ending was actually quite emotional. I really like how the game ended. It was wholesome to say the least, Each chapter gives you a unique set of skills that you have to learn, and then a unique set of challenges that you've not faced before. When it comes to variety throughout, this game is an absolute 10/10. Not once did the challenges feel even familiar let alone dull. The characters were... alright. Definitely didn't hate them but I wouldn't use the word 'loveable' either. I enjoyed playing this game with my partner. It does take genuine teamwork to get past some parts. We must have high fived 20+ times throughout our whole experience on it. The story was wholesome, the challenges were innovative and unique from one another, and the message they portrayed was powerful at that. (Bynski, 20/20 Achievements, 24h 19m on completion)

Super Mario 3D Land was always a childhood favorite of mine, and having the pleasure of playing through this game as an adult to acquire a full sense of what makes this game everything it is, is very satisfying. When the Wii came out and Mario Galaxy was the newest Mario 3D platformer title, it was amazing, as we all know. As a child at the time though, I didn't have a Wii of my own. My time on Mario Galaxy was limited. So when they released a much similar game on the 3DS 4 years later, a console that I could call my own, it felt magical. I could play it whenever I wanted, wherever I wanted. Let's admit though, If you took Mario Galaxy and removed the outer-space aesthetic, Mario 3D Land would pretty much be a compact 3DS version of Mario Galaxy. From level style to textures to sound design. I played this game entirely in 3D. Whilst I'm 100% completing my library, I'd quite like to get the full intended experience while I'm at it. However, even with 3D mode enabled, I was still occasionally having trouble comprehending depth perception through motions that moved toward or away from the given perspective. I would get it eventually but only through muscle memory and a few attempts at the troubling section. Not sure if this is a game thing, a console thing, or a me thing. A key thing I noticed quite far into the Luigi levels was that the themes and patterns were all very similar to each other and a little repetitive. Now, I know reusing textures and enemies is probably a key sacrifice in creating such an experience on a small handheld such as the (near) 14 year old 3DS, but it definitely didn't go unnoticed. Unfortunately, the game was much easier than I remember it being. I sort of found myself rushing through the levels as I knew there wasn't going to be any real challenge or any preparation required at any point. That was until I started the Luigi levels. Throughout the whole underground experience, the levels were of a difficulty that kept me interested from start to finish. It's rare that a game re-peaks my interest so late into a playthrough but honestly, the fun started all over again. I completed this game in December 2024, not far from 14 years after this game came out. I can say with the utmost confidence that this game is, and will forever be, utterly timeless. The game does not feel 14 years old in the slightest. I mean, it's 3D for Pete's sake. Whilst admittedly a gimmick, it really puts you in the game and is still amazing to this day. Let's not gloss over the soundtrack either. Is there yet to be a Mario game without a soundtrack that makes a player bop? I think not. Super Mario 3D Land is no exception. My favorite tracks are the ones that play in the desert type areas. All in all, the overall experience was not quite as enjoyable as I remember it being, but that doesn't take away from what the game is. It has variety in terms of challenges and difficulty, despite its lack of variety in enemies, textures, and themes. It's simple, but later proves challenging for more experienced players who are willing to get that far. It's generally charming to say the least. I'd recommend to anybody with a 3DS just to experience what a 3D Mario game looks and feels like when in true 3D. (Completed with 5 shiny star profile).

Ever wondered what Call of Duty Multiplayer would be like if it was free to play? Now you don't have to, because this is pretty much that. All the cosmetics including character and weapon skins come across as easy to develop and cheap, those in the base game and in the battle-pass (06/10/24). I'm not sure if this is just lacking some decent designers, decent budget, or if its a technique to get people to purchase cosmetics that release later in the games life as they become more and more of a higher quality. It's not subtle that Call of Duty is the main inspiration here. The flow is pretty much the same. If you're an avid CoD fan and you pick this game up for the first time, you will immediately be decent at it because the skills are directly transferable. Saying this, the mechanics, abilities, and general flow of the game operate more like what CoD was like in the Black Ops 3 era, so about 9 years ago, if you took away the jet packs. Just to emphasise though, this game contains absolutely 0 originality. All characters and maps are adapted from other Ubisoft games, the premise and flow is robbed from CoD, and the game modes are a mixture of things seen in CoD, Battlefield, and Overwatch. Even the abilities, class creator, weapon customisation, equipment, everything is of a form everyone has seen before. The maps aren't great to be honest. There's a lot of head room and large open spaces in some of them, even the smaller maps. It's hard to navigate or take cover in some cases. You can see that the developers have put some effort into the placement of objects to provide cover, but sometimes it doesn't quite feel like enough. The attention to detail on some of the original maps isn't the best, but some of the maps in the newer season actually have exceptional detail so, there's a bit of variety for you there. Initially, I thought the OST was totally typical for a game of this genre, nothing truly unique at all. After a bit of playing however, there are some subtle things about the soundtracks I'd like to give merit to. Its nice that, after each game, the finishing track always gets to end before we load back into the menu. No sudden cut offs or anything like that, though it is the same track every single time. Also, I was there for the transition from season 1 to season 2. I like what they did here a lot. The original menu song from season 1 was adapted into a new genre to suit the new faction introduced in season 2. So whilst at its core, the melody was the same, it introduced a whole new vibe to the menu whilst maintaining familiarity and its core fundamentals. Not to mention that the song in season 2 is very cool if you let it play out for a while. Now, the elephant in the room. All the loading times. I'm sure there's a logical explanation, but no work around? at all? The game takes its time loading on startup, then 'creates a match' when it finds a lobby which, during that time, you can't operate the menu, it then takes a bit longer than I'm used to to load the map, but if you want to leave before it loads the map, you then have to load again back into the pre-search lobby. To add to this, a useless loading progression circle. It will take you somewhere between 15%-60% in about 3 seconds, then just stay there until it finishes loading. Totally useless. I'd rather see no progress percentage at all. But... and this is a big but... despite all this moaning, the game was entirely free. My experience obtaining the game, getting all the achievements, unlocking new characters and guns, was all totally free. I never spent a single penny. They don't really even take the mick in regards to obtaining new items. Sure, you can pay money to get the new guns and characters immediately, but the free alternative isn't even an unrealistic grind. So, despite the entire idea of the game only existing as a cash grab due to its total absence of originality, it does provide a respectable way to play the game and obtain all the non-cosmetics for free as soon as they're released. As clear as it is that the game only exists to make money, I can imagine the idea is actually kind of cool to a die hard Ubisoft fan. I've played Trials, Rainbow 6 Siege, and Trackmania, but as you can imagine, I'm not specifically a 'fan' of Ubisoft, so I don't have any sort of attachment to the characters from Splinter Cell, Farcry, Watchdogs, or any of their other titles. However, it's clear that people love it when a series of games cross paths with other games. Just look and Smash Bros. and Fortnite. So if I was a Ubisoft fan, yes, I'd be gassed. But I'm not that much, so I have 0 attachment to the characters, 0 attachment to the locations, and 0 attachment to the announcers. I would rate this game a 6, but the fact I was able to finish it entirely for free gave it another point. This is probably one of the smoothest experiences I've ever had in a videogame. I know that is an easier element to achieve in a 2D platformer, but with how fast paced this game is it really is important. Very responsive, very polished, feels actually finished... which was hard to come by in the mid-late 2010's. This is 100% a rage game. If you get angry easy, avoid at all costs. I've not gotten this mad at a game since Fifa 16 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It's quite easy to think that something is unnecessarily difficult before you actually figure out how to overcome it. The good thing about this type of difficulty though is that it is entirely achievable so long as you're willing to put in the time to learn each level and each boss to their core. What adds to the difficulty most is the sheer amount of one-hit-kills throughout the levels, especially nearer the end. On top of all this though, if you're hoping to get all of the 'feats' or achievements, you will be unlocking a whole new difficulty for yourself. They are so... so hard. The story backing this game is stereotypical, it's simple, it's heart fulfilling. There isn't much reading to do at all, but the impact is still there. The way everything comes together in the final level is actually really nice. The story was actually perfect. I can't fault it at all. The level design is brilliant. Everything you look at has a pleasing aesthetic, but the each and every ledge, enemy, platform, spike, and kill hole has been meticulously placed - and it shows. Each and every level and boss has it's own unique pixel tune and wow... just wow. Despite hearing them all on repeat trying to do the achievements, I never got tired of hearing them. They fit in perfectly, each and every one. Jake Kaufmen and Manami Matsumae, bravo to you both. Each and every track is masterful. The passion oozes from this project. The team at Yacht Club Games should be incredibly proud of what they have made here. This was my first ever experience trying to finish a 2D platformer. I didn't think I was going to do it initially because of how hard it is to a new player to the genre, however by the end I had become one with the game. I now have a connection with this game that I will never let go. What an experience. (Bynski, 45/45 Achievements, 83h logged on Shovel Knight as of 07/05/24, Speed run time 83m 55s)

If you're comparing this game to Forza Horizon, you're doing it wrong. The two are chalk and cheese. The tracks and cars are absolutely stunning. There is no doubt that this is the most beautiful game I've played on my Series X as of 2024. The cars feel good and the tuning & upgrading is definitely in-depth enough to get what you want out of your selected cars. The single player experience really doesn't go into too much depth. It gives you a selection of cars, you pick one, you drive it for 5-6 races, then repeat. There's absolutely no narrative, despite the minor level of real life history you get from a narrator at the beginning of each builders cup. The multiplayer has a split community. Some will play as cleanly as possible throughout the whole race to maintain enjoyment for all involved. Some will 'revenge' spear you just for being near them 30 seconds ago. Of course, the state of the community does not hinder my review as this is not a result of Turn10 development, just a useful note for any readers. The game does not run perfectly. The game crashed on me 3 or 4 times this week (18/02/24), and has crashed throughout its release so far. There are occasional texture bugs causing the sky and parts of the track to flicker, which honestly doesn't happen too often. Overall, this game can be as equally as fun as it is frustrating on multiplayer, and you will find yourself getting a little sleepy if you're trying to finish the single player. But honestly, as a circuit based racing 'simulator' all in all it is pretty good and I might make a return just to play with friends in the future. What a game. Introducing an entirely new mechanic and absolutely nailing it. This game can be played in a chill manner, but if you're looking to get real good at it, prepare for blood sweat and tears. It is the ONLY game I've ever actually practiced on. I spent hours and hours in practice mode learning the best ways to manipulate the car in the air, how to use the boost in the most efficient way, how to hit shots off the ceiling, and I don't regret any of it. Trust me when I say when you score your first arial goal, you'll be hooked. You'll want to be the best out of your mates. This is one of 3 games I have over 1000 hours on. If you like competition, you'll love Rocket League.

Slime rancher is such a perfect game if you're just looking to wind down and get some serotonin. The slimes are adorable. The concept is really fun. The areas, despite their simplicity, are really fun to wonder. It is so fun sometimes to just explore with no goal. Going around finding random things, getting all the achievements, discovering new slimes, locations. messages, whatever. Thoroughly enjoyed this game through and through. There are enemies, but you don't have to be sweaty to beat them. Again, a perfect game for just chilling. Highly recommend.

I really enjoy this Pokémon game as whole so my opinion may be slightly biased, but I enjoyed part 1 of this DLC. Don't get me wrong, it was very short. I completed the pokedex very quickly, but I like the story so far quite a lot. Also it leaves you hanging in anticipation for part 2. I'm not a huge fan of the new legendary pokemon though. They're quite small and underwhelming. The design for them is very simple too despite their cool passive abilities. It's a shame. The side quests were fun too. If you liked Scarlett and Violet then I would recommend the DLC. Its not mind blowing but its worth the money.

By this point, if you have not played Minecraft, you are living under a rock. There are so many different things you can do. There is a reason this game has been incredibly popular since its release back in 2011. to emphasise, that is 12 years of popularity. Something that a game like Fortnite might not even achieve. As somebody who has played since 2013 I can confirm that with the consistent free updates, this game never gets old. It's also favorable by all audiences, especially those who are just getting into first-person perspective games. Even after finishing the game and its achievements there are endless goals you can set yourself. And if you prefer to be pushed to do certain tasks by a games script, it offers you a bunch of community-made campaigns for a small fee. Highly recommend for anyone who has ever merely considered playing videogames. it's a must-play.

This is the first pokemon game I completed in it's full including the pokedex. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Pokemon has needed open world for way too long now. Its core is perfect. The single player is fun, the trading is fun, battling is fun, shiny hunt is fun. Just an amazing game. The reason I've marked it down to 8 instead of 10 is for 2 sole, and quite large, reasons. The game is horribly optimized for the only console its built for. I have the game on cartridge and the tick rate is variable. That's right, I said 'tick' rate, not 'frame' rate. If there is water nearby or a vast view of the map, your game is going to slow down significantly. Also, the battles are not very aesthetically pleasing to watch. There are stunning 3D models of each pokemon and some very cool animations for the initiation of a move, but the actual impact of a move to an opponent is really dull. If you try your best not to let these 2 things take away from your experience, you are going to have a lot of fun. Just needed running on a better console.

Despite all the different areas and challenges, the structure for each 'Cup' that you are instructed to win is exactly the same making it feel a bit repetitive. By the time you get the last cup you're kind of trying to rush through it just so you can say you completed it. As a whole though, its a good game. If you're trying to play through Hotwheels games for whatever reason, I wouldn't skip this one. The 'grind' feeling does come to an end quite swiftly as the game actually isn't that long at all. Nevertheless, I am glad I finished this one but have no plans on finishing it again.

Hotwheels tend to put out a mix of good games and bad games over the years. This is one of the good ones. In fact, as of right now (2023) this is my favorite Hotwheels licensed game. You might be surprised at the depth of its story. The cars in the game are of iconic models, every mission is different to the other, you have the choice to enter a free play mode that allows you to just wonder the different maps and find keys to unlock more cars. Very classic, very good. Based on the Critic reviews Imma go ahead and say this game got better with age due to its nostalgic feel and its simple yet engaging style. If you're playing through Hotwheels licensed games for whatever reason, DO NOT SKIP THIS ONE.

This game, to this day (2023), is still amazing. It's so unique in style and feel. You won't find another game developed by anyone else that gives you the same feeling as this game. I've played this from start to finish and I was genuinely gutted when it was over. All I could think of for the next week or so was how I wanted to play Road Trip Adventure but I had already done everything on it and thought it was way too soon for me to run a new save. The challenges are unique, the map is very large for a 21 year old game, there is a consistent feeling of freshness with every new location. It's cute, it's mysterious, it's fun, it's relaxing yet engaging, the characters are really cool. We are in a generation that simply cannot mimic what this game does. Highly recommend for anyone who has an interest in older games.
