I don't think Paradox is selling hundreds of millions of dollars of product like Call of Duty or other big name products. So if they want to charge you a few bucks for portraits, songs, sprites, and DLC, I say more power to them. Keep the games coming! They aint gonna make this stuff for free: I am Looking at you Rekkie! That said, it adds a few hundred years of game play and a few new events. Playing as a norse is worth at least a game or two and defending as England or France against the Norse invaders is also fun. (Mind you a single game can last weeks or months of real time play!) All told: worth the price of admission if you liked the whole series. If you didn't, you probably aren't even reading this so Bugger Off!

Is it left wing propaganda? yes. Ken Levine has admitted so. google it. Is it a great game? well, the ending is fun, cinematic, and unexpected. The rest of the game is kind of first person standard fare: pistol, machine gun, shot gun, rocket launcher, a few spells (vigors)... you have played this game before.... its just got an interesting story and is a "critique of right wing politics" to quote Ken Levine...

It brought me back to Crusader Kings II one more time. The Merchant Republics offer a new twist on the game. If you love and still play CKII you should get this.

The game is simplistic and worn out from the moment you first turn it on. Bottom line: something I wont be playing a few days from now. Granted its $30, but not worth even that.

A few features are added and AI is slightly improved from prior versions. As Germany you will get a few D-Days in France and the Low Countries, but I found these easy to beat back. Beyond that I didnt see much new with the AI. The addition of a Theatre screen and partisans is minor in the over all scheme. As for the people who think this should be a free download: You cant blame Paradox for charging for these little downloads for niche games. They arent selling like Call of Duty or GTA. In depth strategy games are hard to come by.

A great example of how to make an engaging fun and epic roleplaying game. Bioware should take notes... The graphics are outstanding. The combat is fun. It is more real time hack and slash (as opposed to "tactical" with pause and issue orders). The crafting system is similar to all the other games: mix ingredients and get a potion or item. The quest and story are engaging. Even the cut scenes are great. Over all it has a cinematic feel to it.
