I really enjoyed this movie. At first, the hand held camera bugged me but I got used to it and decided that was the right way to do this movie. What was great about the movie was the exploration of the psychology of the 3 different teens (also the actors really seemed older than high schoolers). All in all, much better than I was expecting.

This was the most amazingly wonderful movie. I had been avoiding it because I thought it was going to be a depressing downer but I am now so glad that I went to see it. We need to be reminded that there are everyday incredible heroes that are the reason that we slowly make this world a better place. The acting was awesome, Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis were great as were Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard. Direction was splendid. This movie drew me in and kept me there. Wonderful.

Well I have to admit I now feel foolish for looking forward to this movie. It was horrid. There was only one character that was developed enough for me to even care what happened to him, and that was that I wouldn't have minded if he got the virus. The movie was so massively boring that the best part was the close up shots of door knobs and drink glasses. This is a movie to walk out of and save your precious time.

This movie was boring and didn't make much sense. I can't believe the characters would have even come close to behaving the way they did. I gave it a 5 because it was pretty good when Helen Mirren was on screen. She is such a wonderful actress, she could save almost anything.

This is a wonderfully funny movie. I missed some of the funny lines because I was laughing at the ones before. Cameron Diaz was splendid. I couldn't stand Justin Timberlake but I think that was because his character was so unlikable. I highly recommend this for a no stress good time.

I loved this movie. Jake carried the movie just fine but what I loved was that it was internally consistent. It took a premise that I didn't think could be pulled off, and they pulled it off. Wonderful

This is a sweet, entertaining, enjoyable movie. Plenty of action but also a good story line and enough development of the characters to make you interested in them. The young actors did a great job, and so did the adult actors. There were a couple of glitches that I caught in the action sequences but nothing that looked sloppy and ruined the movie. All in all, very good.

This would have been a good film if it had only lasted about 30 minutes. Since the story could not sustain more than that, filler time was added under the guise of scenery and cultural shots. It reminded me of the movies of the 50's where there always had to be scenes of native dances and songs, that got really old after a while. The bad thing was, the movie was just good enough to make me stay to the end. Also, at about mid point of the movie I knew exactly, and I mean exactly, how the movie was going to play out. All in all, pretty bad, although Blanchett did a great job.

I loved the book and the movie wasn't quite as good as the book, but it was OK. I thought the acting was fine. I don't like Ryan Phillipe at all, but I have to admit he played a really good homicidal killer role. All in all, reasonably enjoyable and an easy watch.

This was a fun movie that met expectations just fine. I wasn't expecting deep or artsy, I was expecting a good, entertaining, shoot-em-up popcorn movie and that is what I got. I have to admit, some of the parts that were supposed to be serious were so dumb as to be funny instead, but that was OK, just made it more enjoyable. I can't imagine someone going to see this movie and expecting something else, but apparently some of the critics and users did. No problem with this movie, just good clean alien killing fun.

Very entertaining movie. Lots of action but not overdone and good plot. I went in thinking the plot was going to be ridiculous but it wasn't, it was reasonable. Enjoyable actors to watch. Overall a fun time at a movie.

Better than I thought it would be. The action was pretty good and it was nice to have a movie without all the CGI and 3D. The scenery was nice, the acting was not too bad, and the story was interesting enough. The ending was disappointingly trite, I could have done without the walk off scene which was really dumb and almost ruined the movie for me, but otherwise an OK movie.

Absolutely wonderful. Brilliant acting all around and brilliant directing. It is so nice to see a movie that doesn't have bloodshed, special effects all over the place, gratuitous sex, just a great story and great acting.

I feel so sorry for James Franco being stuck with such horrible direction. I felt like I was seeing a 60s movie with the sepia tones over the flashbacks. How ridiculous. The shot through the bottom of the water bottle was so trite (and also a little disgusting). I guess it was hard to make a movie about stupid guy getting caught in bad situation because of his own stupidity but a director might have made a difference. The movie is horrible and a waste of money.

This movie is stunning. I just love a movie when, after you leave, you can't stop thinking about it and talking about it. Well made and well acted, a must see.

This movie was entertaining but so stupid. When towns were evacuated, the people evacuated to the tracks to see the dangerous train rush by. Horses that were stuck on the track in their trailer (and their owners of course risked their lives to rescue them) calmed down after being saved as a huge train thundered by a mere 10 feet away. Denzel could easily run along the top of the cars of a speeding train, luckily there is no jerking or wind resistance. It takes 14 thousand police cars to take care of all the people evacuating to the tracks, and there was the obligatory train full of children in harm's way. Give me a break. Oh, and helicopters love to fly very fast, very low, and between rows of trees. In every scene, there were holes big enough to drive a freight train through. I don't mind that a movie violates all laws of physics and of human behavior, but this one overdid it. Rosario Dawson was good, and the movie did entertain me, therefore a 5 and not a 0.
