Antiviral is an interesting film. It stays far away from mainstream tradition of horror and instead goes for the kind of body horror that was obviously inspired by Brandon Cronenberg's father, David Cronenberg. The film gets a bit dull in the middle, but I was never actually bored. I should also note a very strong performance by Caleb Landry Jones.

Not good. Not good at all. This was the single most over hyped movie I have seen since The Dark Knight Rises. The cgi ****, the acting is mediocre at best, and it's incredibly boring and tedious.

The best horror remake ever has officially arrived. This movie demands multiple watches and is disgusting in the best possible way. Every thing is nailed perfectly. The violence is intense but kinda cheesy at the same time, the acting is solid (especially by Levy, who I recognize from "Shameless"), the pacing is absolutely perfect, and its really just an all around crowd pleaser. It even got a standing ovation at the midnight screening I attended the night before it was released.

This was the film that first led me to the discovery of actress Brit Marling. It's an emotional, sometimes depressing movie, but it does not come across as pretentious or trying too hard.

The single most overlooked film of the year. Not enough people went out to see it (i saw it 3 times in theaters) and those who saw it, could not appreciate Brit Marling's performance. After seeing Another Earth and now Sound of My Voice i know Brit Marling is one of the best actresses out there. A must see for any fans of things like twilight zone as well.

This is one of my favorite films of 2012 and lands at number 14 on my top films of 2012 list. Will probably be overlooked at awards season, but is definitely worth seeing for a few great performances and a solid narrative.
