The View

Behar is the true star. She's funny, likable (without sacrificing irreverence) and sensible. She's much too good to be sidelined an average of two days a week.

For a guy like me, The View is a nice cheap thrill — gee, is thiswhat it's like to be at a multigenerational pajama party? And if the whooping enthusiasm of the mostly female studio audience is any measure, it's a party women are also glad to be invited to.

A flawed if promising start for a tough old veteran that proved it's still got some fight--and talk--left.

This respectable, illuminating View was also--let’s face it--kind of boring.... It’s kind of a comfort, and even exciting, that these four very intelligent, very congenial women with an abundance of respect for each other are going to be the ones helming it.

Only time will tell how well the chemistry holds up and evolves among the central quartet, but despite all the changes (including a new showrunner), The View hasn’t done much more than rearrange--and perhaps reupholster--the chairs.

Most of what went on in between was rather stilted, which is to be expected when new hosts take over a long-established show, and this one has been around for 17 years. But even on Day 1, there were signs of where The View is headed, and it’s likely to be more tame.

These women are a bunch of bullies except meghan mccain. It is the most hate filled show i couldn't watch it for more than 2 minutes. Sad this is allowed to pollute our airwaves and people watch it says a lot about our society.

These women do nothing but spew false lies. They were talking about Marco Rubio. Sony Houston has to go off on President Trump and say that he shot someone in the back and that he is taking away voting right of Blacks and Latinos. They should not be allowed to take information and twist it to end up being an outright LIE! This show is ridiculous

I found Sunny Hostin's grandstanding on the June 6th 'The View' totally unacceptable. She was rude, exhausting, stress-inducing and everything negative about politics today - and I'm a Democrat! If her domination of the narrative on 'The View' continues, I'll be changing the channel. Ms. Hostin needs to be reminded that she is one on a panel of 5. Syd

Very disappointed in the girls. I felt it was a softball interview and they gave little pushback. The exception was whoopie who held him to the coals. They looked nervous to interview him and I wonder if ABC told them to toe the line. If that’s the case and they were censoring, I’m done with this program. They really let me/us down. Don’t even get me started on the onesie!!!
