Mad Men is one of those rare shows that just continues to get better with every new season. Season four focuses heavily on Don **** (Hamm) as, having seen his marriage collapse, we begin to truly see the man behind the mask for the first time. The writers do a brilliant job of showing us a dark time in Don’s life was also reminding us what a smart and talented man he can be when he sets his mind to it. John Hamm is quite frankly superb throughout and it is to the credit of the supporting cast that they are not completely overshadowed by his performance. In an age full of reality nonsense and programmes dumbed down to ‘appeal to everyone’ it is a delight to watch a show with such intelligence that rewards it viewers with drama of the highest order.

Mad Men gets its apex in 4th season. When watcher thinks that nothing happens in series, finally perceives that many things does. Scenes are more subtle and even more touching and photography is even more beautiful, remembering Hitchcock's movies

You should feel nervous before any great date, and Don never disappoints. He'll make you feel like you are in on the joke with the innest in crowd on television. Anything these ad men are selling, I'll buy.

There are needed bursts of humor that lighten the sometimes oppressive sense of a world on the verge of social collapse. And there's that visually pleasing re-creation of '60s style that both delights on its own and allows the show to comment through skewed reflection on modern times.

I think anyone who watches Mad Men was floored by Season 4 and “The Suitcase” is a monumental achievement in writing and acting.

The show is beautiful. The cloths are out of this world and the acting is spot on. But god, this is a boring series! I feel obliged to watch and like it. But really I keep falling sleep.

Very pretty show, especially with the quality of the set designs. I thought the costume design displayed gorgeous attire. Other the other hand, I do think the script was of very poor quality. The dialogue was very poor and boring, with am emphasis on forcing in poetry so much that it seemed awkward and unrealistic. I am baffled that this show received so much acclaim, maybe it is for everyday modern people who are unwilling to connect to others. Such everyday drama seems trivial for people who go out and take risks.
