Dharma & Greg goes beyond merely funny all the way to enchanting. There's nothing momentous or groundbreaking about the new ABC sitcom, but it's good-hearted, lightheaded and delightful, a kind of miracle cure for the blues -- especially the blues you might get from most of the other new sitcoms this season. One thing the witty pilot by Dottie Dartland and Chuck Lorre doesn't do is get the respective in-laws into the same scene but that's bound to happen soon. And when it happens, it's bound to be a real howl. [24 Sept 1997, p.70]

With its cross-culture conflicts, bright writing, amusing co-stars and sizzling chemistry between the two leads, Dharma & Greg could be television's best romantic comedy since "Mad About You." [24 Sept 1997, p.53]

A wafer-thin but bonbon-yummy romantic sitcom that sweeps you off your feet and deposits you in a gale of giddy laughter. [24 Sept 1997, p.3D]

Without Jenna Elfman, Dharma & Greg wouldn't work at all. But with the goofy charm of Elfman to build around, Dharma & Greg is one of the better new comedies on network television this fall. [24 Sept 1997, p.C01]

Make no mistake, Dharma & Greg has been built for Elfman's coming out party as a high-voltage comic lollapalooza. And she doesn't disappoint. She's one very likable and amusing looney tune. [24 Sept 1997, p.6C]

Dharma and Greg are so cloying they make the happy, well-adjusted Buchmans on "Mad About You" seem like Bonnie and Clyde.
