Cassandra

Another German show I really enjoy. It gives me a feeling like dark series.

Absolutely loved this series, the idea is really unique and it it very tense without being scary, also the gay story is well written, compared to other know shows

Cassandra begins with a very interesting concept: artificial intelligence seamlessly integrated into daily life and how that relationship starts to take a dark turn. At first, everything works well. There's tension, the premise is engaging, and it seems like the series is building up to a gripping tech thriller. But as the episodes progress, the story struggles to maintain the same strength it started **** main issue is the pacing. At times, it feels like certain moments are stretched out without really adding much to the plot. Some scenes seem more like filler than actual story progression. Certain characters also feel underdeveloped, with motivations that aren't always clear.That being said, the show does have its strengths. Visually, it's striking, and the sense of unease is well-executed in several key moments. It's not a forgettable series, and while it leaves the impression that it could have been more solid, it still manages to raise interesting questions about technology and control.

Die fesselnde Handlung zeigt, wie schnell aus einer hilfreichen KI eine manipulative, kontrollierende Macht werden kann. Die Serie regt zur kritischen Auseinandersetzung mit der Technologie an und lässt den Zuschauer über den verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit KI nachdenken. Doch trotz dieser wichtigen Botschaften bleibt „Cassandra“ an einigen Stellen hinter ihren Möglichkeiten zurück: Plot-Lücken und teils unrealistische Zeitrahmen mindern das ansonsten starke Drama. Die emotionale Wirkung leidet zudem unter den oft unlogischen Handlungen der Charaktere .Dennoch bleibt „Cassandra“ ein sehenswertes Drama, das einen aufrüttelnden Blick auf die Gefahren von KI wirft.

Cassandra (2024) has a strong visual style that pulls you in right away, and the German language actually adds charm and authenticity rather than creating distance. The short six-chapter format works well and keeps the pacing tight. Still, some character decisions feel odd and not very believable, and the reliance on retro 70s technology stretches credibility a bit. Even so, it’s an enjoyable, moody mini-series with enough atmosphere to make the ride worthwhile.
