Not perfect - but a show that is a perfect length - such amazing actors and great premise. Show knew there was a ticking clock before jumped the shark, and while it pushed things - such a deeply satisfying series. Of all series that made it some 30+ episodes, this is one of the most consistent quality you will find. If this show had been on HBO over SkinaMax, so many more would have discovered it. Although based on a ridiculous premise this is a mildly entertaining action series spoilt by the failure of the main characters to generate any sort of sympathy. Ana/Carrie is an entitled **** bent on ensuring her brat of a daughter follows her example while 'Lucas' despite his hard-man credentials is simply pathetic. The gratuitous sex and nudity adds to the series's watchability and at least demonstrates, unlike most US television dramas, that women rarely wear bras when having sex!

Characters are constantly being put in cartoon scenarios and making unrealistic choices. The only emotion I feel watching this is frustration.

An absolute gem of a TV series. The budget is there to see on the screen, episode after episode. A perfect harmony of writing,casting, fight choreography, visual effects, soundtrack and pacing. THIS is the template of what a good TV show can achieve without diluting an idea into syndicated oblivion. The first couple seasons are tight 10/10 quality with superb pacing. The showrunners have to be commended here for crafting something that truly respects the audience so much. Be warned if you're not a fan of violence and nudity then stay well clear of this often brutal action drama.

The whole city is made up of scum of all kinds. One of the best TV shows, and one of the best villains.

Probably one of my favourite TV shows. However, it is very explicit in all forms, so I can see how others would find it "too much". The interesting thing about this show is that the story, character development, and acting, are all fantastic, and it does not just rely on excessive violence and sexual content to hold the audiences attention.

If you like watching fighting and **** this is the show for you. I was glued to the show from the first episode super violent with crazy characters it's pure entertainment highly recommended

This show is fairly unique, with a "realistic" gritty setting and ultra-voilent fist-fights set between a cast of exaggerated, but highly-entertaining characters. That said, while Season 1 starts out a bit slow it really hits its grove towards the end and really peaks with season 2. After that unfortunately, the writing falters and the show becomes less and less consistent. The plot lines go over the top or nowhere. It's a bummer, because up until then, the show is truly excellent. Season 4 is pretty self-contained and feels very different from the others. A bit on an unworthy ending for a previously great show.

Decent show set in small town, characters are interesting. Show isnt complicated however nothing else really like it

I came across banshee by accident and wow... its a fun ride from start to finish with no identity politics just good old fashioned entertainment

Some of the best fight scenes ever seen on screen. Sadly story gets more and more ridiculous as it goes on. Still a thrilling, fun ride, just don't take it too seriously.

Banshee is an incredible show. Perfect casting (Starr, Miličević, Thomsen, Faison, Servitto, Lee, Shane, Rauch, Dunn, Simmons, Segees, Vasilopoulos are incredible. Grosse is underused. Cross is the only one who could have been cast better). The writing, the cinematography, the direction, the editing — spot on. Some may think there is too much sex & gore, but I think both are integral to the storytelling. It’s a one of a kind production.
