First and foremost, this film isn't for everyone (but what film is?). All three leads are troubled characters navigating the investigation of heinous crimes committed by a character whose motives and sanity are constantly in question. The film is dark and the subject matter, darker. The police officer assigned to the case is the most interesting and enigmatic character, who seems skeptical of both criminals and the justice system. It's a well-made film with morally ambiguous characters. It's on those grounds that I would recommend the film—these kinds of character studies are reason I love films.
