It's hard to dislike a picture with flying cows and oil trucks.

Hurtling pace, by-the-numbers character development and exotic science. Tornado-chasing suddenly takes on a sex appeal not usually associated with horrendous storms.

Twister. You can't escape. The film "Twister" is a gripping and dynamic picture that completely immerses you in the atmosphere of the fight against the elements. Director Jan de Bont masterfully created a tense atmosphere, and the special effects amaze with their realism and scale. The film perfectly conveys the atmosphere of danger and heroism, inspiring you to overcome difficulties. The acting of Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton evokes sincere emotions and adds depth to the film. Exciting scenes with a tornado keep you in suspense from the first to the last minute. This film is a real masterpiece about courage, teamwork and overcoming the dangers of nature. Of course, I give it 10 out of 10 for a vivid impression and mastery of performance!

Twister is a Gale force movie with amazing special effects an eye popping nail biting thrill ride

Perhaps the greatest compliment that can be paid to the rush of raw excitement "Twister" creates is that it makes it possible to ignore the painful awkwardness of the film's expository sequences and thudding dialogue of the "OK, boss lady, hold your horses" variety.

Doesn't have any pretensions. It is what it sets out to be: an effective piece of big money, early summer entertainment designed to blow viewers away.

Another theme park ride of a movie without an ounce of emotional credibility to it, Twister succeeds on its own terms by taking the audience somewhere it has never been before: into a tornado's funnel.

Audiences may howl at the hackneyed plot and dialogue, but you won't hear them over the Dolby sound effects assaulting your eardrums at a gazillion decibels.

Big swirls of computer-generated dirt, a bickering couple and the dead certainty that the fiancee will leave and the bickerers will get back together. An exciting night out, or what?

I absolutely loved this film as a kid and watched it many times. Most movies I have heavy nostalgia for like that I just pick right back up with the same feels when I rewatch them as an adult. Sadly, Twister did not do that for me. The action isn't terrible, but the story is pretty hilarious in not the best way. I do think it's great that this film finally got a sequel.

It is one of those cases what happens when special effects plot eaten. In fact, the plot is supported with pins based on boring dialogues and characters lacking personality. It is true that in his year he had his moment of glory but not enough to be a classic.

What a boring movie, man. The visuals are outdated, and the audio (surround-wise) is not good enough to justify watching until the end. It really depends on how much you like the "romance," which is antiquated, to be honest.

Fairly entertaining film, TWISTER is a kind of disaster, adventure thriller but hard to describe exactly.. it's basically about a tornado or tornadoes and made in 1996 and stars Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt. There's a few parts in the movie when we see people watching a screening of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining before the tornado hits. We see cows and vehicles being swept away because of the tornado, flying through the air are various objects due to the tornado which looks laughably bad. Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt outrun a tornado which is utterly stupid and laughable and some of the film is incredibly bad.
