Jim Carrey, Cameron Diaz, Amy Yasbeck, Peter Greene and a whole bunch of other actors star in this comedy slash romance but it's more on the comedy side if anything. Stanley Ipkiss played by Jim Carrey finds a mask and finds out it has extraordinary powers and turns him into a goofy greenfaced lunatic who tries to be funny and clever and he falls in love with Cameron Diaz's character. Peter Greene plays the villain and he has his badguy crew of gang who work for him. The Mask isn't that funny, it's mildly amusing but looking at it now it's rather trash and personally I found Ace Ventura: Pet Detective funnier and sure Jim Carrey has his eyeballs coming out of his head, his tongue rolling out and does some silly things and has fun in The Mask. Others find it funny and some is pretty funny but too cheesy for my liking. Only part of the movie I liked was Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz at the end of the movie kissing and obviously Milo the dog. The rest ****.

George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead, this was made in 1978 or 79... It's a horror but there's a bit of silliness in it too and there was a remake but avoid it. Dawn of the Dead by George A. Romero is the original version and quite possibly the best zombie film ever made and certainly one of the best horror films ever made hands down. Zombies are everywhere and 4 people get into a shopping mall on the roof by landing a chopper on it and getting into the shopping centre up top but have to survive at all costs and avoid getting bitten by the zombies downstairs in the shopping centre. If you like blood, guts and a bit of action then Dawn of the Dead delivers and doesn't disappoint. Beautifully directed by George A.Romero and has many fun moments even the actors have fun here running round the shopping centre shooting up zombies and looking in the stores and playing video games and grabbing supplies. There's a scene when bikers break into the shopping centre too but most becoming prey to zombies and only two of the original 4 of the chopper crew getting out alive at the end. A must watch and this isn't all dark atmospheric horror because some of it's pretty light hearted but it has some dark moments and when it comes to the crunch Dawn of the Dead delivers with blood and some shocks. Stars Ken Foree and a load of other actors and actresses, rated 18 for violence and bad language.

The Green Mile is a film directed by Frank Darabont and was made in 1999. Honestly I don't know what genre to categorise it as because it looks like a prison drama but crime, fantasy, drama could be possiblities... We know the black dude behind bars supposedly accused of murder holds some supernatural healing powers or some rubbish and has flies or something coming from his mouth which is bizarre but the healing process you could class as supernatural... The Green Mile stars Tom Hanks, David Morse, Michael Clarke Duncan and Sam Rockwell who I must admit is annoying in this film and so is Doug Hutchison or whatever his name is from The X Files.. This film is about 3 hours long or more and it's totally unnecessary especially since not much happens because all we see is a prisoner being annoying and being put in a padded room and some mouse being clever performing tricks and some big black guy with flies oozing from his mouth and healing the odd person plus one of the prison workers ending up in a mental hospital and one of the prisoners getting shot and a few executions.. To be honest it gets rather boring and the only character I really liked was Tom Hanks's character and Michael Clarke Duncan's character kept crying all the time which was laughably pathetic but I liked Tom Hanks. Besides that The Green Mile delivered nothing and the entertainment value was little and some of the characters were crap and annoying plus alot of the locations looked tacky and you only ever see one part of the prison all through the film which is laughable and dull and why so many rate this garbage as a classic is beyond me. Quite possibly one of the worst films I've seen in a while so if you want a decent prison film or a decent film full stop avoid this turd and watch something else.

One of the worst films I've seen. Started off well but got worse from there and the fact the guy had to wear some suit or something to be invisible was laughably bad. The guy who was supposed to be invisible or so Elisabeth Moss thought wasn't. Very silly film that gets worse and worse as it drags on. Not scary, not interesting, silly and not well thought out and bad acting. Watch Hollow Man with Kevin Bacon instead because that's a great film but avoid The Invisible Man. Hollow Man was well directed and made and some parts was pretty creepy and it was interesting and Kevin Bacon was awesome even as a villain but The Invisible Man is a joke.

Mel Gibson and Sigourney Weaver star in The Year of Living Dangerously.... Made in the early 1980's but Google says 1982 and it says on Metacritic 1983 so don't know what to believe but it's one or the other.... The Year of Living Dangerously is a drama, romance but war I'm not sure as I saw very little if any in the film but I did see soldiers or something that was very odd... Mel Gibson I think plays a journalist and I don't know the plot or story because it made no sense to me but the acting gripped me especially by Sigourney Weaver who is absolutely gorgeous in this film. There's a few love scenes but from what I remember no nudity if very little. Mel Gibson gets involved with Sigourney Weaver and we also see Linda Hunt from Kindergarten Cop who plays some dude which was odd and she wants to team up with Mel Gibson to be partners or some nonsense but a woman playing a dude is strange. There's some violence including Mel Gibson being bashed in the eye or something and we see blood pouring from his face yet he's stupid enough to try another dumb thing even though it may get him killed. The Year of Living Dangerously is dark in some aspects and light in others and the directing and acting is great and the chemistry and bond between Mel Gibson and Sigourney Weaver is cool. The story could of been better but the acting made up for it so overall a great film. Director Peter Weir did a good job here.

A fairly good film, I watched it thinking it was going to be a mixture of Eraserhead and The Fly and the reason being we know this dude was deformed and hideous plus it was black and white like Eraserhead and David Lynch made it however I was wrong... Made in 1980 by director David Lynch "The Elephant Man" is a historical drama movie made in black and white and portrays the life of Joseph Merrick who was a deformed figure and somewhat unwanted by many people yet accepted by many others. In the film we see the struggles, we see love, acceptance and at times it's emotional but also at times nasty but only towards the Elephant Man in a cruel manner. It's a fairly beautiful film and great acting from Anthony Hopkins and John Hurt who plays John/Joseph Merrick aka The Elephant Man who I think was diagnosed with Proteus syndrome in real life but not sure and I think this is what caused his deformity.

Flight of the Navigator is a family sci-fi adventure.. It's suitable for any age really, made in 1986 it's a film I grew up with and the basic story is time has skipped 8 years and the child in the movie who plays David Freeman (Joey Cramer) doesn't know until he finds his home invaded by other tenants and when he finds his real parents they look older and even his brother, Jeff is much older... So David becomes a lab guinea pig in some terms by a bunch of scientists or Nasa or something and they are holding some flying saucer or alien ship in a hanger.... David receives contact from the ship, jumps on board and makes a journey to travel backwards in time by 8 years to be reunited with his parents.... There are strange lifeforms on the ship but also a cute creature.... What I remember is the Feast ice cream David holds in the movie because that itself is testament to how oldskool this movie is and David Freeman once inside the spacecraft communicates with some computer being named Max ... Great movie that's never boring and the pace is good but also watch out for Sarah Jessica Parker and Veronica Cartwright as David's mother.

The Accused is a 1988 crime drama directed by Jonathan Kaplan who also made "Unlawful Entry" which was a great film.... THE ACCUSED is basically about a gang **** of a young girl who was probably a bit high, bit drunk or both on the night but anyway the assault takes place at a bar or something called The Mill.. Kelly McGillis plays a prosecutor who helps Jodie Foster's character (Sarah Tobias) bring the suspects who **** her in to face trial and also the guys who clapped and cheered the **** itself. The actual **** scenes aren't very pleasant but it has great acting in this film especially from Kelly McGillis and even though Jodie Foster played the **** victim and did a good job I still don't understand why Kelly McGillis didn't receive an award also for her performance because she was beautiful and pretty cool and her acting was also great. The film has a pretty good story and is tense in some areas and the characters in the film are good and it doesn't rely on violence and if there is any present in the film it's to a low degree but sure some scenes may shock you especially the assault itself unless you like that thing. It's a clever film with a good story and as far as I'm concerned a classic and never gets boring no matter how many times you watch it. I liked Kelly McGillis in Top Gun (1986) but I also like The Accused and it's beautifully directed and Bernie Coulson who played Kenneth Joyce was also very good in The Accused and he testified helping put the guys guilty of criminal solicitation in regards to the **** away. It was great seeing Jodie Foster smoke a cigarette and dance in the backroom of the bar near the pinball machine but the **** scenes themselves were upsetting but all worked out well and justice was served. Also the chemistry between Jodie Foster and Kelly McGillis was awkward in parts but it made the film more realistic and helped to develop the story more and see the frustration in Jodie Foster's face. Mostly the chemistry was great though and it worked so a must watch and a very powerful film!

Conspiracy Theory is a 1997 action, thriller type mystery film directed by Richard Donner who brought us classics such as Lethal Weapon and Assassins. .. Conspiracy Theory stars Patrick Stewart, Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts... The film starts off okay then as it drags goes downhill and the only good thing in my opinion about the film is Julia Roberts. Mel Gibson is totally ridiculous and some of the acting isn't great and it's a film I never really took to that much to be honest so it's not a great film and compared to Richard Donner's earlier works like Assassins and Lethal Weapon it's bad and even the first Superman movie Richard Donner made was better than Conspiracy Theory.

Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, should have been called The Dumps because it's crap compared to the original and what the hell is Janet Jackson doing in this movie because she didn't belong in this film full stop, stick to singing. Eddie Murphy is a good actor but compared to the original it's rubbish because The Nutty Professor is an excellent film and it's pretty funny. Nutty Professor II was just awful in every way and some sequels work like Terminator 2, Aliens, Lethal Weapon 2, French Connection II which was an excellent film but Nutty Professor II doesn't work and for a sequel it's pretty bad. Skip this junk.

Certainly one of the worst films I've ever seen in my life. Jason Statham is terrible in this film and the film really delivers nothing good. Pile of crap basically so avoid CRANK.

This 1982 fantasy, sci fi, family, adventure film is one of them films that never really grabbed my interest but seen it enough times. I'd say the only good bits are the flying bikes and the bike scenes at the end. The rest is kind of tacky, lazy and boring and certainly most of this film drags on and is boring and the alien named E.T. looks faker than Michael Jackson's plastic surgery and he talks and is leprechaun sized. The kids even treat him as a friend and human being and help him get back home to his planet. One of the worst films ever made but some may enjoy it but certainly not me.... Stars Dee Wallace, Henry Thomas, Drew Barrymore... Directed by Steven Spielberg.

Tony Scott's The Last Boyscout which was made in 1991 is an action movie that kind of rips off the Lethal Weapon ideas to a degree and Tango & Cash because there's nothing new here... The Last Boyscout however works because of the humour and stupidity, I like when Damon Wayans' character in the movie says to Bruce Willis ya fkn car ****! Full of bad language, shootings, chases, possibly explosions and basic violence and action I'd say it delivers.

Arachnophobia is a strange film, because it's documented as being a horror comedy but I saw or found nothing whatsoever amusing in it or funny and if there was it's not enough to class it as a comedy. To me it's watered down horror because it's not really gory and it's a PG rated certificate film as far as I'm aware yet there's the elements of terror in it. It's pretty well made and the film starts with some guy getting biten by a spider and his corpse sent elsewhere yet when he reaches the other end in some box or something a spider has eaten all his skin from his corpse or **** his body dry or something which is unsettling especially if a kid saw this so it's dumb it's a PG certificate. Jeff Daniels finds out he has a nest of spiders in his barn or something and spiders basically terrorise the people and locals. John Goodman was stupid and his character as an exterminator or something was unnecessary and I didn't find him the slightest bit funny, just crap basically and he's a horrible actor. Besides his crap performance all the cast were pretty good and the story was great and besides John Goodman's character the film didn't get stupid. It's a classic in my opinion and always carries tension and one of them films you can watch over and over and it's never boring. Directed in 1990 by Frank Marshall I'd say it's a classic especially for it's time but if you hate spiders then avoid this film, besides that it's a classic and even as a kid I found this great so it's earned it's place in the great movies list as far as I'm concerned and it's very original for it's time!!!!

Cocktail is a romance drama film directed in 1988 by Roger Donaldson and stars Tom Cruise, Kelly Lynch, Bryan Brown and Elisabeth Shue.... Cocktail is an old film that I remember growing up and I can certainly say it's not the best film I'll be honest but it's fun and there are much worser movies. The short fight scenes involving Tom Cruise and Bryan Brown are great and a few others later. I like how Tom Cruise jumps from one woman to another and is the desire of every woman which is totally unrealistic and unbelievable. The acting isn't great but Tom Cruise carries the film in my opinion with help from Bryan Brown and I didn't find any of the characters annoying except the odd one or two. The bar scenes with Tom Cruise are great and learning how to flip bottles and the soundtrack is good except from a Jamaican song or something in the film. The romance aspects are good even if some bits cheesy and there's obviously sex scenes even if you don't see much nudity. Tom Cruise basically plays a bartender and gets taught by Doug Coughlin (Bryan Brown) how to be a bartender. Later on Tom Cruise starts a bartender business in Jamaica and gets a girl pregnant then cheats on her and gets back with her and then becomes a father at the end. Good enough film in my opinion and Kelly Lynch looked hot.

The Fugitive is a action thriller but it's also a mystery film... Directed in 1993 by Andrew Davis The Fugitive stars Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee Jones and Julianne Moore.... Doctor Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford) is found guilty of his wife's murder but during transportation something happens and the prisoners on board escape including Doctor Richard Kimble who is now an escaped fugitive and Tommy Lee Jones plays a U.S Marshall who must hunt him down. Following clues Tommy Lee Jones tracks down Richard Kimble (Ford) and a big chase ensues whilst Doctor Richard Kimble (Ford) is trying to find the real killer and clear his name and the real killer in question uses a prosthetic arm. Full of great action scenes, chases, violence and possible bad language The Fugitive delivers and remains one of the greatest films ever made thankfully to great acting performances by Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones. Only bad thing about The Fugitive is how small and insignificant Julianne Moore's role was but besides that it's perfect in all departments from the directing all the way down to the story and acting and anybody who writes a review of The Fugitive saying Harrison Ford's acting was horrible obviously must be on drugs because his acting in The Fugitive was top draw. I've seen films with Harrison Ford that are bad and believe me, The Fugitive isn't one of them! I've seen many great films from Harrison Ford such as Witness, Frantic, Clear and Present Danger, The Devil's Own, Blade Runner, etc and The Fugitive is another of his great films. Anybody who finds it crap, boring or his acting horrible obviously doesn't appreciate a good film.

SPLASH is a 1984 comedy, romance, fantasy film directed by Ron Howard and stars Tom Hanks, Eugene Levy, Daryl Hannah and John Candy.... Tom Hanks in Splash plays some guy named Allen who as a kid saw a child mermaid in the water and I think John Candy played his brother in the film but not 100% certain. Ever since his childhood ordeal he has never forgotten it and wishes for true love when he's adult age (a fully grown man) but nobody wants him so downs his sorrows in drink and alcohol. One day or night he goes to Cape Cod because he feels happy there yet he doesn't know why but after an accident he nearly drowns but is rescued. Waking up on dry land he sees a naked woman who swims away and that's the end until she tracks him down due to him leaving his wallet or something in the water with his home address on it. Later Tom Hanks finds out the lady is a mermaid yet he was in love with her and feels embarrassed and stupid. The ending of the film is a happy ending but you'll just have to see it to find out the ending but Splash is a good film but it has it's flaws and faults so I can't give it a 10 rating. The main problem with Splash is though even funny at times the larger than life John Candy as Freddie is also very annoying and acts like he's in a completely different film to everyone else because he's too over the top and loud. The second problem is Eugene Levy is a bit pathetic but besides that this film is okay. Not great but okay.

Big was made in 1988 and is a comedy romance, fantasy type film starring Tom Hanks, Elizabeth Perkins, John Heard, Jared Rushton and Jon Lovitz.. Basically Tom Hanks starts off as a school kid in little league and hanging out with his schoolfriend Billy (Jared Rushton) then one night at a fairground accompanied by his parents he wonders off for a bit then makes a wish on a Zoltar machine which has a head on it with eyes that glow up and the mouth opens and the Zoltar machine isn't even plugged in when he uses it yet it works which is odd and weird. Anyway he makes a wish on the Zoltar machine to be big then later when all not pans out in the adult world for him he decides to reverse the wish on the Zoltar machine to be a child again yet all the time he experienced adulthood through his wish his poor mum was probably thinking her son was abducted or dead. John Heard is annoying in this film and so is Jared Rushton to a degree and it's full of toys, fun, bouncing on trampolines, funfairs, business deals and meetings, constant conversations, taxi rides, whatever but it's boring and not in the slightest bit interesting. Tom Hanks gives an excellent performance but the bore factor in the movie kills what life he brings to the film and Big feels overlong and tedious at times even though the romance and chemistry between Tom Hanks and Elizabeth Perkins is great. Not a good film.

Critters is a 1986 sci-fi horror starring Scott Grimes and Dee Wallace... I have this a 10 rating based on originality because the sequels were even worse and to me this is the ONLY decent Critters film besides Critters 3.. Critters 2 and 4 were just plain bad... The premise is similar to Gremlins but these furballs called Critters come from space and they eat whatever they can get their teeth into and attack humans too. A family is plundered into disaster and must survive when their home is targeted by the furry critters but they also have help to get rid of the critters in the form of two alien bounty hunters with big guns shooting up the place lol. The bounty hunters can take the form of any person's face as their face mutates and transforms to fit in kind of but the main goal is to destroy the critters. Good and bad acting in this film and some stupid characters to say the least but it's entertaining and rarely boring so a great film. It feels very dark this movie in the atmosphere department and more times than not there's a sense of dread with dead animals turning up near the family home or cops being killed by the critter creatures. Good film and best in the series.

Gremlins is a comedy, horror fantasy film made in 1984, the same year as great films such as Beverly Hills Cop, The Terminator and Ghostbusters were made. Gremlins spawned only one sequel but it was great and even better than this original one in my opinion.... GREMLINS was made in 1984 as I said by director Joe Dante who also did The Howling. In Gremlins we see Phoebe Cates, Zach Galligan, Judge Reinhold, Corey Feldman and many other actors and whatever but Gremlins is a very simple story and it consists of somebody's dad getting this mogwai fireball creature for his son for Christmas and there's three golden rules he must follow. The main two are never get his new pet wet and keep him away from bright lights and sunlight but being a dopey and clumsy guy Billy (Zach Galligan) gets him wet and this reproduces an army of the little creatures who are cute but later form cocoon's and hatch into bigger and more nasty creatures who wreak havoc on the community and town. The idea is good and we have great scenes such as the gremlin getting mangled in a food blender or something, we have Gizmo having darts thrown at him from the gremlins, we have one gremlin exploding in a microwave and they even watch Snow White and the Seven dwarfs in cinema. Also in Gremlins there always seems to be snow on the ground, Christmas lights up, a film filled with lighting and bright colours, some very good and likeable characters and the acting is okay. Overall I'd say it's a great film but I still think Gremlins 2 was better with the electric gremlin, brain gremlin, bat gremlin and spider gremlin.

U Turn is possibly one of the worst films I've ever seen. How Sean Penn can fall off a cliff or rock face regardless if he was pushed or slipped, how he can fall from that height, land on rock below and pick himself up and walk like a normal person with no pain and just a few missing teeth is so laughably bad, unrealistic and stupid because he'd of either died in real life or been in worser shape. Absolute junk of a film and full of bad performances and a hideous storyline and plot so considering Oliver Stone directed this film it's embarrassing since he directed Platoon and that's a classic and excellent film. U Turn is just simply a crap film ... Stars also Jennifer Lopez, Nick Nolte and Claire Danes.. U TURN was made in 1997 and what bothers me the most about the film is Sean Penn is a great actor but he was crap in this and that's very concerning!

State of Grace is a film made in 1990 and is an action, crime, drama sort of thriller with an allstar cast including Sean Penn, Gary Oldman, Ed Harris and Burgess Meredith.. My brother actually let me watch this and even though it's old I'd never heard of it so gave it a viewing. When the film finished I was shocked because of how good the acting was and Gary Oldman was in a class of his own because he was just dynamite and was superb and basically flawless and faultless. Sean Penn was also great and Ed Harris was a bit creepy and unpredictable in a good way and was also excellent in his role. All the characters are likeable in one way or another even if unpredictable and each character moulds the story into a basic hit and excellent movie. There were no unnecessary characters as far as I'm aware or concerned and even if there was that didn't destroy the film for it's glory status. Even at times your bored the story is so suspenseful and great the boredom dies because it's like a drug this film because you want more and more and to see where it leads. The action scenes are very violent especially the shootout at the bar near the end with Sean Penn killing all Ed Harris's men and Ed himself. State of Grace contains bad language, violence and I don't remember if there's sex and nudity but there may be. Not seen this in ages but it's certainly for adults only and a great film in all aspects and you couldn't ask for a film this perfect basically. The basic story roughly is a New York cop infiltrates the mob but you'll have to see State of Grace to see what a gem it really is and it's one of Sean Penn's greatest performances and films. A must see!

Dirty Harry is a 1971 action thriller that stars Clint Eastwood as a cop trying to find and capture an assassin who's using rooftops to sniper innocents, yes he's using a sniper rifle but he tries to evade police at every stop. The killer, badguy in question who's killing off innocents is played by Andrew Robinson who even takes a bus full of school kids hostage and sings with the kids whilst threatening them which is amusing. Then we see cop Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) jump on the roof of the bus in a bid to stop the killer. Basically Dirty Harry is full of some of the best quotes in film history, great action scenes, shooting scenes, chases, violence, nudity and a good cast and brilliant acted performances especially by Clint Eastwood. Dirty Harry had a few sequels but none made a dent on the original and best one. A must watch and great movie, also stars Reni Santoni, John Vernon as the mayor.

William McNamara, Harry Connick Jr, Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter star in this thriller mystery type film that basically see's one killer behind bars and another out there copying serial killers of the past. Sigourney Weaver plays some agoraphobic Doctor named Helen Hudson who is targeted by the killer as well as other innocents who lose their life but Helen Hudson strangely enough lives to tell the tale because she's saved by a few bullets from Holly Hunter's gun at the end that kill the copycat killer. I'd say it's an average or below average film and to me I think William McNamara is a great actor and Holly Hunter but Sigourney Weaver is pretty bad in this film to the point where she's unlikeable and you've no sympathy for her character. She's annoying at times and Harry Connick Jr is amusing at times and others weird and I did like this film but as time worn on you look at other great films such as Alien, The Terminator and even decent thrillers such as Frantic, The Fugitive and other great films and Copycat doesn't even make a dent on them and seems poor in comparison. There's blood in Copycat and violence and a killer who uses bad language and there is even a few shootings but that alone doesn't qualify it to be a decent film. Made in 1995 where there were great films coming out such as Martin Scorsese's Casino you'd think Copycat would of been better but sadly it isn't. Very disappointing.

Widows is plagued with dull moments and dull scenes. Made in 2018 and is a crime drama and stars Liam Neeson, Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Daniel Kaluuya and Colin Farrell.... Widows has some good moments such as Daniel Kaluuya's character shooting two guys rapping and attacking a cripple in a bowling alley with a knife which sadly is classed as hilarious by somebody on YouTube as they posted that scene and found it amusing. It's not amusing or funny but it's a damn good scene but besides those two scenes the rest is pretty much fairly dull and mostly boring and it's a film that drags and drags for long periods and feels too long. Daniel Kaluuya's character was excellent and his acting was the best in the whole film in my opinion and some characters in the film felt weaker than watered down vodka and some of the acting was pretty bad. Fell asleep watching this film on all three occasions I watched it which says it all because Heat is a long film that drags but it has a decent story and suspense and develops the characters pretty good unlike Widows that drags and you lose interest and has very little if any redeeming features.

A.W.O.L as it's originally known also goes under the film title "Lionheart." Basically this film is a 1990 or 1991 film that's more martial arts than anything else but the opening is a dude getting set on fire with gasoline after getting involved with drugs then his brother (Van Damme) who's a foreign legion deserts his post to support his brother's family after his death. Van Damme supports them by getting involved in fights with random opponents and the fight scenes are very violent, some funny and for me the best fight scenes were with the Scottish dude surrounded by cars and Atilla at the end. The only problem with A.W.O.L is it lacks realism especially at the end which is unrealistic beyond belief, with a broken rib which is damaged even more and the mangled state Van Damme was in against a bigger, stronger opponent surely Atilla would have kicked Van Damme's butt right? Wrong, Van Damme does a flying kick and that's all it takes to defeat Atilla and that's with a broken rib and being punished brutally by Atilla which is laughable. This film is so unrealistic so that's the only negative and the reason I don't give it full marks but besides that it's an okay film. Brian Thompson does a good job with his role considering how limited it is and his acting is professionally decent and Deborah Rennard is okay but a bit insane at times. Harrison Page makes an appearance as Joshua who's the clingy type who's over Van Damme like a rash throughout the movie. Overall fairly good job and it's not a crap or bad film as it's fairly decent but some parts are silly. Surely after Van Damme's brother's death he could have raised money to support the family by not getting brutalized though I mean couldn't he have found another way? Lol

Stripes is a 1981 comedy and is possibly one of the worst films I've ever seen, very little is enjoyable, it's silly and boring at times. I personally couldn't wait for it to end and wouldn't see it again because watching it even once was torment and a horrible experience. I thought it would be much better but it's a disappointment which is bizarre given that it has great actors such as John Candy and Bill Murray along with a few others. A wasted opportunity and a complete trainwreck meaning it's a pile of junk.

Speed is a 1994 action, adventure, thriller that also has some elements of romance but it's not classed as a romance film... It has plenty of action but Speed is basically about a terrorist (Dennis Hopper) who after blowing a lift and the innocents escape due to help from the police and LAPD then makes the cops believe he is dead after he detonates a bomb strapped to him. Later on he rigs a city bus and Jack Traven (Keanu Reeves) has to board the bus and keep it's speed above 50 because if the bus speed drops below 50mph it explodes thereby killing everyone on board.. Jeff Daniels and Joe Morton also star along with Sandra Bullock...I wouldn't say Speed is the best film ever made but it's up there and it's a worthy competitor and it wouldn't have worked if Keanu Reeves and Dennis Hopper didn't get involved. Good film (contains bad language and violence)

Titanic is a 1997 film directed by James Cameron who brought us classics such as The Abyss, Aliens and The Terminator... He also brought us True Lies but that film was so bad it's unbelievable.... TITANIC has a fairly decent story but the acting from Billy Zane and Leonardo DiCaprio is ridiculous and spoils the film. The only good acting done in this film is by Kate Winslet and to me she looks beautiful and is the only good part of this film but the rest sort of spoils it and I don't like Leonardo DiCaprio anyway as an actor and to be honest the only film of his I've seen which I liked is The Quick and the Dead (1995). Of course Leonardo DiCaprio's character in Titanic dies at the end and we are meant to feel sorry for him and is so unbelievable. Of course this film is obvious, predictable until the end when you think all of the ships people will die then you think Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet will survive and only one does. Titanic has some romance, nudity and is more of an adventure film than anything that I hope stays sunk and never gets a sequel which I doubt it because this film was bad enough. Also watch out for Bill Paxton as he makes an appearance in Titanic if only short but even he couldn't save this film from sinking.

The Abyss was made in 1989 by James Cameron who made classics such as Aliens and The Terminator... Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Ed Harris and Michael Biehn star in this sci-fi adventure... It's hard to sum the Abyss up in words, some other life in the ocean and it's alien but friendly. The film was great and Michael Biehn was excellent and so was Ed Harris and the special effects were good and it felt really **** only negative opinion about the film was it's too long but besides that it's perfect and the perfect happy ending too.

Rocky II was made in 1979 and Stallone directed it as far as I know, it's the continuation, sequel or follow on from the original Rocky movie... Rocky II see's the return of Talia Shire, Burt Young, Burgess Meredith, Carl Weathers and of course Sylvester Stallone.... To me Rocky II is a bit like the original but added more fun to it and there's scenes like Rocky (Stallone) and Adrian (Shire) walking through or near the zoo with snow on the ground and a tiger. We also see Rocky and Adrian getting married I think, Rocky doing some television commercial stuff involving aftershave, looking for work, training, driving around in a car, buying stuff, doing part time work in a meat factory or something and Adrian (Talia Shire) slips into a brief coma with Rocky (Stallone) praying she wakes up and seeking solace in a church and also the birth of their son happens. We see a great training scene when Rocky has to catch a chicken and he says to Mickey (Burgess Meredith) "I feel like a Kentucky fried idiot" which is pretty amusing. Basically this film is better than the original and offers more in terms of entertainment and the fight at the end is even better than the original. Great acting by everyone involved and the chemistry between the actors is great and Rocky II is about Rocky's rematch with Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers). Great film and in my opinion best one in the whole series.

I've heard of The Last Detail for a while but never saw it until 2020 when I watched it online which is odd since it's been out since 1973... Having just watched it on 14 April 2020 I will tell you what I think of the film because to be honest I wasn't sure what I was about to see because no disrespect to Jack Nicholson because he's a great actor and done classic films which I like such as Chinatown, Batman, Five Easy Pieces, The Shining, The Passenger, Blood and Wine, A Few Good Men and many others which I like however some of his films like Mars Attacks I hate with a passion. However overall a big percentage of his films I like and he's a great actor but anyway The Last Detail was directed by Hal Ashby in 1973 and as far as I remember the story is about two guys in the navy who must escort somebody to prison but they give the dude who they must take to prison the time of his life first by feeding him, giving him beers in a hotel room and all that and I like Jack Nicholson's performance and Randy Quaids and it's better than I thought it would be having never seen it and being curious. It's a simple story, nothing spectacular and not much happens apart from the story I mentioned and obviously the prisoner trying to escape but it's never boring and uses basically zero violence. Overall a great film and Jack Nicholson puffing on a cigar.

A Perfect Murder was directed in 1998 by Andrew Davis, director of The Fugitive... A Perfect Murder stars Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow, Viggo Mortensen and David Suchet.... It's a quite glamorous thriller/crime film that is beautifully directed and Gwyneth Paltrow looks great. Steven Taylor (Michael Douglas) finds out his wife's sleeping with some dude called David Shaw (Viggo Mortensen) and basically goes over a plan with him to execute or kill his wife. There's a few twists in the film and even though that's basically some or if not all of the story then don't be fooled because it's not that straight forward because there are twists that develop in the movie and all not quite goes to plan. Michael Douglas gives the best performance in the movie but Gwyneth Paltrow looks incredibly beautiful and she's okay. The characters are all likeable and the story is good and it's never boring and the dialog is okay. It's a film that gets you thinking and isn't over the top and beautifully well made. A Perfect Murder to me is a perfect film and I see no faults with it and is one of Michael Douglas's best movies.

The Quick and the Dead was directed by Sam Raimi who made many films such as Spider-Man, Drag Me to Hell and The Evil Dead just to name a few... 1995 for me was a golden age of movies when great films were coming out such as Desperado, Species, Assassins, **** golden era has soon passed and nowadays the standard has dropped considerably although you still get the odd decent flick I think most films are just plain crap. In 1995 another gem dropped and it's called THE QUICK AND THE DEAD and it's a kind of western, romance thriller starring an allstar cast such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe, Lance Henriksen, Gary Sinise.... Sharon Stone plays some gunslinger or cowgirl or gunfighter who enters a competition involving shooting each other by drawing guns on each other. Gene Hackman plays someone named Herod who I think is boss of the whole town or at least he acts like he's in charge of everything but Herod killed Sharon Stone's father when she was little or something and her father was a Marshall. She enters the gunfight competition to kill Herod (Gene Hackman) to avenge her father's death and that's basically the story which is pretty simple. Usually I hate western type films like these but The Quick and the Dead is a great film with thought and consideration put into the film along with great performances by Sharon Stone and Gene Hackman and some violence and nudity that basically makes this a great film. A bonus for the film is that it never gets boring.

Rosemary's Baby is a horror film made in 1968 and directed by Roman Polanski but whether it's a drama aswell as a horror I don't know however that would explain the slow acted pace and countless conversations in the film. Mia Farrow as Rosemary was odd at times but I personally think she did a great job in her role and she's genuinely a great actress but there's a few problems with Rosemary's Baby. For starters you never see the baby or any baby but there's scenes where you know she's pregnant and what's going on and secondly the story makes no sense. Another bad thing is the film has a rotten ending and makes little sense at all, the plots all over the place, some of the characters are weak and some of the acting is shabby. For a horror film to work you don't necessarily need blood and guts or a dude going round stabbing people but you do need something to grab the audience's attention and to shock or scare and Rosemary's Baby had nothing. Rosemary's Baby felt like a drama all the way through and nothing in the movie suggests it's a horror movie and at times it's very boring and mainly focuses on a plot against the baby which gets tedious and pointless conversations that never stop or stop and hop to some more dialog and conversations. There's no blood in Rosemary's Baby except for the death of some woman which is very little, no suspense, tension, no shocks, twists, nothing and certainly nothing scary about it because it feels like a long drama film mainly just consisting of conspiracy's or conspiracy theories and conversations after conversations. It's a long and tedious film at times and I wasn't impressed especially for a horror and this film is plain bad. Not even Mia Farrow can save this in my eyes and Roman Polanski can't make horrors. Simple as that and sadly Rosemary's Baby is a tragic film that is basically a road to nowhere. The films beautifully directed and some of it's enjoyable but it gets dull and overlong with very little to keep the viewer interested if anything only to throw down one of the worst and stupidest endings in movie history which disappoints and your left wondering is this the final climax I waited for? Like I said, road to nowhere and personally this film is neither scary, terrifying or anything and can get boring.

Escape Plan is one of the worst films I've ever seen. Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger may make a great team but it didn't work in Escape Plan because the acting was awful and the whole story and how it was executed was poor. This movie has spawned at least 2 sequels but if the original was crap then how can the sequels be any better? Lol

Paul Verhoeven made this movie in 1990 and it stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sharon Stone, Marshall Bell, Ronny Cox, Rachel Ticotin and Michael Ironside.... TOTAL RECALL is a sci-fi action thriller and it isn't very good. The main villain who is Cohaagen played by Ronny Cox is about as intimidating as a teletubby. Michael Ironside was okay but not brilliant and Sharon Stone was excellent giving what crap story she had to work with and she looked beautiful. All the mutants were ridiculous, hideous and brought no positivity to the film especially the woman with 3 boobs as that's laughable , disturbing, cheesey and stupid. The action scenes were not great and the only two positive things in the whole movie was Sharon Stone and the blood. The rest of the movie including more or less all the characters, the acting and the action scenes felt awful and so did the fact the mutants drink in a bar on Mars. So laughably unrealistic it's unreal and even Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn't that great so my opinion of Total Recall is I'm afraid weak. Terrible excuse for a film.

Casino is one of them long films that drags but it's better than Goodfellas, Goodfellas is horrible and never been a fan and not because of the violence but so much of it is actually boring and Lorraine Bracco is appalling and a horrible and uninteresting actress because if anything she brought nothing to Goodfellas except constant annoyance and this dulled the great performances from other people in the movie which was disappointing plus all that family nonsense made the film very boring... CASINO is much glamorous than Goodfellas in colour quality terms and, the area and the surroundings and the performances much better.. Martin Scorsese made Casino in 1995 and Joe Pesci, Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone and James Woods star.... Great performances and acting especially by Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and James Woods and some of Casino is mildly amusing thanks to Joe Pesci's over the top and constant bad language approach. Sharon Stone is a bit annoying but otherwise a good film however Pesci for me steals the show!! Contains bad language, violence, possible nudity and sex scenes

Not a bad film but it would of been rubbish without the performances of two of the best actors in the world, James Woods and John Travolta are the bosses in this movie and their meetings and confrontations create the suspense in The General's Daughter.. As the film says it's about a general's daughter and it's just that lol. Some female in the army or something gets murdered, possibly **** and left naked on display, pegged down to die and John Travolta and Madeleine Stowe investigate. John Travolta's character is tough, smart and he takes no crap and Travolta is one of the best at playing these roles because he's nuts and a great actor so nobody else pulls this kind of character off as good as Travolta because he's so gifted at playing scenes where he's had enough and does things his way or loses his temper. He interrogates James Woods and arrests him, later he's released from jail then Travolta tracks him down to his home only to find a cat at the window and bloodmarks on the window then Travolta bursts in with his gun and finds James Woods on the sofa with a bullet in his head due to suicide, blood everywhere. Great film that's saved by excellent performances especially by Woods and Travolta and I personally think this is one of the best Travolta films along with Domestic Disturbance...Contains scenes of nudity, possible **** scenes, violence, bad language...... The General's Daughter was made in 1999 by director Simon West.

Barb Wire is a 1995 mindless sci-fi action starring Pamela Anderson. The film opens with Pamela Anderson on stage in some club or something with music playing, soaking wet with water spraying around her and over her, wearing some outfit with her boobs poking out then an observer calls her "Babe" and she throws one of her heels at his head, killing him... The film has many action scenes and probably some fighting scenes and it's violent but the storyline makes no sense and the acting isn't great to be honest. There's some scene when some fat slob is introduced to us on the back of some vehicle and he's bloody huge in obesity size and is completely a ridiculously scene. We see scenes of Barb Wire (Pamela Anderson) showing the odd bit of flesh but this would of been better if she showed more of her body. Instead we saw hints of her body and her in some hot tub or something and that along with the action scenes didn't feel great if I'm honest. The action scenes could of been better and the overall film and some of the characters were laughable and silly, even the villains. This is probably one of the worst movies ever made and very stupid

Beverly Hills Cop II made in 1987 see's the return of Detroit cop Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) who after an armed robbery on a jewellery establishment and a letter left at the scene investigates the so called Alphabet crimes. After Beverly Hills police departments Lieutenant Andrew Bogomil (Ronny Cox) gets gunned down in broad daylight Axel Foley (Murphy) teams up once again with cops Billy Rosewood and Taggart played by Judge Reinhold and John Ashton.... Slightly inferior sequel but good scenes especially the gunclub scenes and the nudity dancing scenes, the horse racing scenes were silly and the action scenes were done well... Full of explosions, chases, shootouts, nudity and comedy and fairly decent acting I'd say Beverly Hills Cop II is okay but nowhere near as good as the original.

Beverly Hills Cop is an action, comedy, crime thriller directed/made in 1984 by Martin Brest.... When a friend of Detroit cop Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) is murdered and the badguys fade away without trace, Axel Foley investigates the murder and ends up in Beverly Hills I think... Not sure if this film was filmed in Los Angeles area or California or somewhere else and it's a bit confusing the exact area it was filmed in which is rather dumb to be honest and all I know for 100% certain is it's in America.... Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) teams up with two cops who were originally against him and thought he was some troublemaker and the cops in question are Detective Billy Rosewood played by actor Judge Reinhold and Sergeant Taggart played by John Ashton..... Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy), Rosewood and Taggart take down the badguys at the end after Jenny Summers gets involved with the murder investigation and kidnapped. The end is full of shootouts, bullets flying around everywhere and Victor Maitland (Steven Berkoff) getting shot by Detecve Axel Foley and Ronny Cox who's another cop..... The action scenes are great and so is Axel Foley (Murphy) sticking banana's up the cops exhaust pipe and sending them coffee and doughnuts whilst keeping an eye on him in a car... Great humour, violence and action make Beverly Hills Cop a decent movie however the sequels were nowhere near as good especially the one directed by John Landis.

EL DORADO is probably the best western movie ever made.. John Wayne and Robert Mitchum star in this 1967 film and also features a young James Caan and the film involves a drunken sheriff (Mitchum) and John Wayne and Robert Mitchum team up to take down some badguys.. I don't know the exact story of El Dorado but I've seen it and it's a very good film, very well acted and entertaining and I don't think I've seen a better western if I'm honest. This films faultless in every aspect and has no weaknesses and the action scenes well done. May contain some romance.

Cocoon is a 1985 sci-fi fantasy comedy adventure and stars Steve Guttenberg, Brian Dennehy, Tahnee Welch and Wilford Brimley... Although not the best sci-film ever made it's certainly in my list of one of the greatest sci-fi films ever made and certainly one of the most imaginative and original sci-fi's of it's era... Some aliens come to earth and drop the cocoon eggs in the ocean, the aliens look like humans but can remove their skins but the cocoon's eventually are thrown into a swimming pool after being given permission to use the pool. The cocoon eggs have some strange youthful power or something but when 3 old aged pensioner dipsticks start farting around in the pool and inviting others in the pool and more or less destroying the eggs some tears by the aliens take place because they finally know what if feels like to experience loss. They eventually end up transferring the remaining cocoons back to the ocean and sod off back to space in their flying saucer taking a few earth people with them especially the granddad's and grannies so they'll never age and get old or sick... Cocoon is filled with extraordinary visuals, some romance scenes and plenty of adventure and good acting. Faultless movie.

I've read many poor reviews about this film and it being unwatchable and boring and glorifying hippes and other stuff... Here's my review on EASY RIDER and some bad things and good things about the film... Easy Rider was made 1969 and is a drama, adventure and I think it's a road movie but could be wrong!!!! Anyway it's directed by Dennis Hopper and it even stars Dennis Hopper alongside Peter Fonda, Jack Nicholson and Karen Black and was made in 1969 and the oldness shows like a sore thumb in this movie because it looks outdated. I thought this movie was about some American dream or something but I could be wrong and if there is any story to Easy Rider it sure is a good movie of making it feel like there is no story whatsoever so this film is very strange. The acting is actually very good and especially from Jack Nicholson who plays George Hanson and also Peter Fonda... This film has scenes of Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda riding their big motorcycles or motorbikes on the road and giving people lifts and smoking marijuana and numerous other scenes including Jack Nicholson's character being battered to death while sleeping one night in a sleeping bag which was possibly done with baseball bats or some other weapons. Easy Rider doesn't really have any weakness as far as I'm concerned besides the story and some parts raise questions but besides that the acting is great, the characters are okay and it's never really boring if you've intelligence to follow the movie because it's not overly long so people who say it's boring obviously have a boring life. It's one of the greatest films of it's time and is still watchable in the year 2000 because I still watch it and anybody saying it's unwatchable obviously isn't patient enough to view the full film but it's certainly watchable at and a very good film. The ending of Easy Rider is sad with one bike or motorcycle blown up in flames and both bikers (Hopper and Fonda) shot apparently by a passing vehicle and one of it's passengers. Even though a sad ending it's a great scene and a great movie with great acting and that's my review.... Easy Rider contains nudity or sex scenes, some violence and drug use.

The French Connection is a 1971 film directed by The Exorcists "William Friedkin." It's a drama, crime sort of thriller that stars Gene Hackman, Roy Scheider and Fernando Rey... Roy Scheider plays Gene Hackman's partner and both are constantly watching a criminal organisation led by Charnier (Fernando Rey) whether on a street corner or in cars which kind of looks obvious and dumb at times. This film has a few drug scenes and the odd shootout but Popeye Doyle played by Hackman was much better in the sequel but overall The French Connection is not a bad film in any way other than it could of had more action and it could of been more entertaining. Some parts are borderline boring but Hackman gave a decent performance and put hard work into making The French Connection so I give it an 8 rating but the sequel is so much better however this film is still pretty decent... The French Connection (1971) contains bad language, scenes of drugs and drug use, chase scenes, small amount of action and a lower level of force and violence compared to French Connection II but rated 18 certificate due to it's adult themes.

Director John Frankenheimer brings us FRENCH CONNECTION II which was made in 1975 and is an action, crime type of thriller drama.. Gene Hackman returns as Popeye Doyle in this sequel to William Friedkin's original 1971 film called The French Connection..... FRENCH CONNECTION II see's the absence of Roy Scheider from the original and played Gene Hackman's partner but Fernando Rey returns in French Connection II as villain Charnier... Popeye Doyle (Hackman) is in France working with French police to find Charnier (Fernando Rey) who deals in drugs but one night after being spotted by Charnier is kidnapped and taken to a isolated hotel where Popeye Doyle is pumped full of drugs by Charnier and his criminal goons then eventually thrown out of a car on the streets and left for dead and full of drugs in his system. The French police save his life with probably the aid of a doctor but can't remember then Popeye Doyle (Hackman) burns the hotel he was drugged up in down and takes revenge on the drug criminals and gives villain Charnier (Fernando Rey) an on foot chase through the streets and eventually killing him as he catches up with a boat that's escorting Charnier. Full of bad language, explosive violence, chases, shootouts and excellent action scenes and a great performance from Gene Hackman I'd say personally this is the best sequel ever made in film history and better, more violent and more entertaining and enjoyable than the original French Connection film. What French Connection II does is take the original and make it more enjoyable and builds on it and makes a sequel of greater violence though more gloomier than the original I think French Connection II also seems a bit darker with the feel of a stronger threat looming on Doyle's (Hackman) character with more violence to the story. A must watch!!!

Robert De Niro, Jean Reno, Sean Bean and Jonathan Pryce star in John Frankenheimer's action thriller called RONIN which was made in 1998... Strangely enough director John Frankenheimer made French Connection II which was excellent compared to RONIN and even better than the original as far as I'm concerned because it had more entertainment in terms of action and the hotel being burned to the ground by Popeye Doyle after he's saved and left for dead after being pumped full of drugs. Ronin (1998) is full of fairly decent action scenes, chases and car chases and betrayal and violence. Sean Bean's character is laughable and silly and Robert De Niro and Sean Bean together is simply the worst chemistry between two actors in movie history and a horrible combination that portrays weakness but fairly tense moments . This films okay but nothing great and the badguys are a bit weak but still fairly entertaining and watchable at best but nothing too fantastic.

Vietnam war film directed by Oliver Stone and stars Charlie Sheen, Forrest Whitaker, Tom Berenger, Willem Dafoe... Pretty violent and bad language is present. Fairly decent story with some dumb characters, some likeable and the unlikeable Tom Berenger but what Platoon does throughout the dead bodies, bloodshed and violence is portray a fairly decent story and a reasonably powerful film. Charlie Sheen's acting is the best in the movie for me and this film displays an excellent level of betrayal but also courage.

Ed Harley's (Lance Henriksen) son is killed in an accident involving a motorbike or something so summons this demon monster and resurrects him to take revenge on the group who were responsible for his son's death. Fairly decent horror film that's well made, very dark and entertaining.
