A somber film, can't deny that, and that's one of its best qualities, however, it's a somber film that implies that its job wasn't to attempt anything different and thus it never ventures into unfamiliar or exciting terrains. It's the kind of horror where you know all the tricks, even if its approach decided to go down a more emotional route into depression.
