Like the book, Chris Sanders’ onscreen adaptation is compassionate, funny and filled with unexpectedly poignant moments.

I begun watching this movie with moderate expectations, was drinking a beer ,chilling , then somewhere around the middle of its runtime the migration scene started playing and I literally got covered in tears. Once the scene was over ,I paused the movie and it hit me that I've just witnessed something special.
Absolute masterclass of a scene, and the movie builds up to it beautifully Rest of it kind of falls off ,but I do not care

If this unusually thoughtful exploration of parenthood, emotional connection, and the coexistence of nature and technology is the only installment we get, load your offspring onto your back and tote them to the movie theater while you can.

One could watch The Wild Robot with the sound off entirely and still have a rewarding experience—turn it on and you have one of the best animated films of the decade.

Compared to the average family-friendly animation, this is very much an upgrade.

It’s a delicate piece of storytelling, one where the poignancy never feels forced and where the comedy springs from its characters rather than pop-culture references or lazy scatology.

This denial of nature is more banal than inspiring. The robot may grow a heart but the movie feels strictly mechanical.

The Wild Robot was unlike any DreamWorks film I've seen. The animation is INCREDIBLY beautiful, the story is just amazing, and the voice acting is phenomenal. I know How to Train your dragon is already amazing, but come on! The Wild Robot is on a whole other level.

(Mauro Lanari) Of a superhuman complexity. 1) If WALL•E tried to build an emotional relationship with a soul mate, here, in a complementary way, the robot tries to set up an intergenerational mother-child bond. 2) Leopardi's stepmother nature, with its food chain of prey and predators in struggle for life and death, should be healed. 3) The island's animals symbolize anthropic Darwinism, that Hobbesian pan-belligerence that would demand a Kantian "perpetual peace". 4) The battle of Roz and the "animals" against human beings represents the conflict between false and true automatons, that is, of those who manage to reprogram themselves versus those who obey orders: free will, self-determinism, self-causation, self-transcendence. 5) This can only be achieved by listening to the "reasons of the heart" with the discovery of a new agapelogy. "Omnia vincit amor": how, where, when, why? Not a bad project, knowing that none of this has ever even been touched upon in history. By comparison, "Zootopia" was a no brainer. Do we pretend that Brown and Sanders were unaware of this and that they just wanted to tell us a beautiful fairy tale? Okay, then the film isn't incredibly ambitious to the point of depressing, but it is perfect as it is, both children and adults.

Essa animação é Filme bem esquecivel. Apesar de bem feita e com poucos momentos comicos. Mas pode divertir e tambem pode ser um bom passa tempo

I don’t know WHO has decided that this movie is good but they, and all of the critics following, are wrong. The soundtrack lacks any sort of emotion, with arpeggios at every moment of supposed feeling and the same tired melody over and over again. Where are the motifs to make you feel connected to a character? Where are the moment of tension for the audience to decide how they feel? There are none. And please can we JUST take a moment to acknowledge the pop song that they shoved into the middle of the movie that is THE most generic and boring song in the world? C’mon. Dreamworks? Nah. Remember Spirit? THAT is how you do storytelling pop music. The script? Ergh. Not the worst thing about it, but the short quips and average story telling leads to a basic a predictable plot. Again, the audience is given no time to question or wonder because the plot is SHOVING it into your face. Please give me a moment to think will ya. I wanted to experience a variety of emotions, not just “oh isn’t it important that robots can have feelings”. We’ve given it a 3, because the visuals are absolutely stunning and we want to give them credit, but if the animation team hadn’t been working their asses off this would have been a one. Also the voice acting wasn’t bad because they got a STACKED cast, but it’s no over the hedge. I know, I’m not a professional, but I really think someone higher up decided that people were gonna like this movie and now everyone is just playing along. In my, non important, opinion. This movie is bad. Go watch How To Train Your Dragon, Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, or Wall-e (aka the only robot movie we needed to give us a message).

Ick. Sure animals eat other animals in the real world, but talking animals with personalities getting killed?
Definitely watch this before deciding if your kids should see it.
Oh, and the animation looks cheap. I know they were trying to mimic 2D art with 3D computer animation software, but it looked worse than either. It was like 1.5D or something.
