The cars and the uniforms were superb, no expense was spared to recreate the era. The acting well done, but theres no question the Red Barons flight scenes are unmatched in air to air combat of ANY film of the air to air war genre, of any era. Especially the last battle, that was Hollywood? at its greatest, it showed events on the ground and air simultaeneously that were a big, important, and devastating conflict that was just flat out war, Ive never seen anything like it. Its better than Top Gun, Flyboys, or the Blue Max. Its going to be many a year before ANYONE tops this. Its unforgiveable tho they didnt make it in 3D. The ground scenes are boring but sustainable. And if true show a touching side of Richtoffen that even tho he really was encouraged to retire, he felt his fame was directly due to his pilots, and had to see the conflict through. Ill give it 8 out of 10 Stars, altho the flight scenes are a SOLID 10 Stars themselves. Its a GREAT movie!
