As good as she is, and as timely as the film can be, it is frustrating that the villain seems to have waltzed in from a 1930s noir.

The Ledge has a simple set-up, a naturally perilous setting, a convincing heroine and a whole lot of hanging around, waiting for the next “That could never happen” narrow escape.

I mean, for **** sake. This would be a zero if it wasn't for Ashworth's performance here. This villain is the most predictable and terribly acted that I think I have ever seen. This was clearly a low budget film using a ton of green screen and what looked like B-Roll from a travel video elsewhere. They spared every expense creating this and I don't blame them with how bad the plot was. Ashworth clearly deserves better than this and hopefully she finds her signature role soon.
