This is terrific film-making – enough to bring a rush of blood to the head.

A very clever film led by outstanding performances from Maisie Williams and Florence Pugh

This movie is very open for a lot of interpretation and in my opinion, it is great that the people behind this did not draw to one definitive conclusion. Some dialogues are narrow and confusing and I am not sure if they intended to do that but other than that story is intriguing and elusive in a good way. Acting is amazing, the visual quality is above average and has an engulfing atmosphere. Recommended especially if you are into psychological analyses.

For all The Falling’s period trimmings, its uncanny power resides in these ellipses and blackouts – in elements that cannot be easily rationalised.

Morley marries a quasi-Victorian premise with a modernist technique that feels drawn from her film’s own milieu.

Every time the picture opens a fascinating door, you're held back from going through by a naff filmmaking choice or a rote story move.

Carol Morley’s film has a lot going for it, not least a thick, vaporous atmosphere, alive with unease and sexual anxiety, and an eye-catching debut from the casually charismatic Florence Pugh.

The film all leads to a melodramatic climax that wraps up the main character's explosive acting out in a too-neat package.

There is no versatility or something distinctive, I mean it's a drama that plays with the rules of any drama, regardless of its theme however it is a good drama, Maise Williams gives the best performance of her short career, not counting what she has done in Game of Thrones. It's not a very eye-catching movie but I don't think it will leave you disapapointed.

Well this is the biggest piece of crap I've ever laid eyes on! Basically a bunch of school girls acting dumb and trying to pull it off artsy fartsy. Avoid at all costs!!
