Even the gravitas of Merkerson and Duncan can't save this flimsy construct of boxing-movie clichés. Moran casts himself as a cinematic upstart with The Challenger, but he's punching above his weight.

I enjoyed the movie, I am no critic just a regular person looking for a movie. I thought it was well acted, I thought the storyline was good ( it's a boxing movie with any sport related story you can only go so far, and it was good ) I say watch it for yourself and decide. I don't go off critic reviews we must have different opinions because when they say " it ****" I find I liked it.. lol.. Give it a try! I even liked the actors.. 2 Thumbs up from me :)
