Directors Harri Shanahan and Siân A. Williams have created a commanding, if one-sided, film that documents the importance of the Rebel Dykes sub-culture in detail for the first time — its importance for future generations of queer women will be vital.

A judicious mix of new-minted interviews, home video footage and charming animation by Shanahan makes for a delightful, well-tempered package.

Has value as a cultural document as well as a riotously entertaining film.

This is a great piece of history, about people who took huge risks every day and every night just to be allowed to be themselves.
