Terrible movie. It pretty much striped away what made the first Ong-Bak so great, to focus HEAVILY on the story, a terrible one at that. For an action/kung fu movie, this movie had almost zero fight scenes. There was far too much plot here and it easily crosses the line. While the second movie wasn't terrible, this one definitely made sure to ruin the franchise, unless they can get back to what made the first Ong-Bak one of the best action movies I've ever seen.

As with the second Ong Bak film the story is bogged down by the needless addition of magic which the original film did not need. The producers really should have considered using Ong Bak 2&3 as a separate cannon apart from the original. I understand that these sequels are being used to tell the backstory of the Ong Bak, but it would be akin to filming prequels to Driving Miss Daisy where Daisy used to have super powers. Just my 2 cents. The action was well choreographed though and it should stand up as a decent martial arts film.
