Jesus Nebot pulls off the impossible task of not only being the writer, director, producer, and star of the film No Turning Back, but makes it all work into a satisfying and socially conscious film as well.

Competently made but unconvincing melodrama.

Heartfelt yet overly schematic debut feature.

More a 99-minute public service announcement about the plight of illegal immigrants than a fully formed drama, the film finds itself in a no-win situation not unlike that of its protagonist.
