Nina Forever is a brilliant, intelligent and emotionally rewarding debut feature.

The film’s bizarre, gore-soaked premise actually manages to ease viewers into the far more uncomfortable topic of grief – after all, dying is easy, but living with death is much more complicated.

For all the unique **** that the movie introduced, the pacing and constant tonal shift made it a little difficult to watch. The hour and a half long movie felt a whole lot longer. Still, a fun experience overall (and that ending shot was awesome too).

Crazy movie. I thought it was okay. Some parts were very bizarre and hilarious and surprisingly very emotional at some **** movie was just ultimately too weird for me.

Despite these uneven moments, the film still serves as a dark and morbid fable about the poor choices people can make in their efforts to prove that they are how they see themselves.

Eccentric as this premise is, the Blaines’ screenplay trails behind their confident direction in terms of ringing interesting variations on a limited, somewhat repetitious theme.

Although it’s an inspired gamble to introduce familiar genre elements into what’s essentially a high-strung relationship drama, Nina Forever’s repeatedly shifting tone ultimately proves more of a drawback than an asset.

Some people never let go your hand! We ask for the fresh ideas and here is the one. This British film was not totally innovative, at least it tried to be different. This horror-comedy was directed by two brothers and it was theirs first feature film. This is the story of two who meet working in a supermarket. The 19 years old Holly and in his 20s, Rob, they instantly fall in love with their first encounter. But there's a problem that they can't sleep together, if they do, then Rob's dead girlfriend appear. So the reason for it and the solution if there is one, is what the rest of the film covers. It was a little slow, though entertaining. Not a bad storyline, they developed it decently, but the twist was so ordinary. Nothing like we could predict it, but it gives a silly reason. If you are not expecting big, then it might work. The performances were not bad. It's not that funny, because it was a black comedy. Though the story takes place in the open society, the focus has been always between three main cast and a couple of others. That mean it comes to the point, not wasting for useless scenes. That's why it's very interesting, despite not very impressive. Like I said worth a watch for being a different from the usual films. 6/10

The movie tries to convey a feeling of "this is an edgy movie that has gore but is actually about grief", but does so very poorly. Most of the scenes i can remember are sex scenes, and i don't think that was quite what the movie was going for. Some of the psychological aspects are well done but, doesn't make up for the awkward pacing and repetitiveness. There is a message that the movie conveys, and if you keep that in mind, you might just be able to enjoy it.
