Director Peter Segal knows what strings to pull to elevate the cuteness factor, and he pulls them hard. It’s all good, actiony fun, when you need a moment to unplug your brain. Even though you’ve seen this all before in other cop buddy movies, it works.

The Hoebers have woven a delightfully weird streak throughout the humor that’ll keep you on your toes. It’s consistently a pleasant surprise in what is otherwise a predictable story.

I Like this film, especially for this sequel. And I bet Amazon MGM made the My Spy Duology. I hope it's going to be a My Spy franchise.

Feel good movie all the way and Dave (Bautista) is, and always will be, the nicest and sweatest fella around. Such a nice guy. The rest of the cast also delivers their roles perfectly, truly making this a movie you can have the coziest evening to with your loved ones. I hope there will be a sequel, I even made my profile Just to rate this movie. OMG i havent seen i could rate it 10, i thought 5 was the highest. Make a sequel please. Love M

There’s hardly a surprise along the way but Bautista’s gruff charm and winning chemistry with talented young co-star Chloe Coleman (“Big Little Lies”) do just enough to carry a script by “RED” writers Jon and Erich Hoeber that pokes some good fun at action movie tropes but is hampered by too many groan-worthy gags.

We’ve seen this kind of thing before but it’s done with sufficient schmaltz to work on its own terms. Damning with faint praise? You betcha, but that’s all I have.

Even Bautista and a genuinely cute kid co-star can’t enliven this predictable and humorless entry into a micro-genre long due for a refresher.

Lowish-level titters are in evidence – mostly care of Kristen Schaal as Dave’s tech aide – while an analogue finale on a scrappy-looking airfield offers passing respite from the multiplex’s usual VFX-bloated city smashing.

I can’t say it’s very good, because it isn’t. But the magnificent walking, talking, pratfall-taking sight gag that is Dave Bautista? Well cast.

It’s a nice movie that you can enjoy with your family or on a date and laugh throughout the entire time.

5.5 for me - don't expect genius of this movie, it is meant mainly for kids and families so has lots of plotholes and things you will think a bit stupid or unreallistic. But i enjoyed watching it while doing other things at same time so was nice

(Mauro Lanari)
Clean, pleasant, entertaining, free of vulgar or violent scenes: a real rarity for this period.

Too many stupid character decisions to be geared towards adults. But too much language to be a kids movie

While it certainly contains creative comedy. The retuity of its language and humor along with the underdeveloped characters make this Not My Spy.
