You're The Next once again follows the same structure as the My Hero Academia movies. While the group of villains is slightly better than in the third installment and the animation keeps outdoing itself with each film added to Bones' record, there's ultimately not much to take away from it.

This film excites us with one of the fan favourite characters being turned into the main villain. The animation and plot keep the viewers guessing while following the MHA cast as they try to resolve the issues caused by Dark Might.

My Hero Academia: You're Next delivers another exciting chapter in the My Hero Academia universe, offering a satisfying mix of action, humor, and heartfelt moments. Set between Seasons 6 and 7 of the series, the movie introduces a new villain, Dark Might, who poses a significant challenge to Deku and his classmates. Dark Might’s connection to All Might adds a layer of intrigue, as the heroes are determined not to let his legacy be tarnished. This film stands out as the best entry in the series’ movie lineup, thanks to its emotional depth and stunning **** action sequences, as expected from Studio Bones, are visually dynamic and thrilling. Whether it’s Deku unleashing his powers or Class 1-A working together to thwart Dark Might’s plans, the choreography is flawless, with fluid, intense battles that highlight the series’ strengths. The emotional stakes are elevated by strong character interactions, particularly the bond between Deku, Bakugo, and Shoto, whose teamwork is emphasized as central to overcoming the film's challenges. While the film succeeds in many areas, it struggles with pacing. The crowded storyline, which introduces several new heroes and villains, stretches the narrative thin. The character development for the newcomers is limited, and the villain’s backstory could have been explored more deeply. Despite these issues, You’re Next offers a satisfying experience for long-time fans and newcomers alike, thanks to its emotional resonance and strong action sequences. Overall, My Hero Academia: You're Next is an engaging, action-packed film that is sure to resonate with fans of the series. The blend of epic battles, emotional moments, and character growth makes it a must-watch, though some might find its narrative too fast-paced. A great addition to the franchise for those invested in Deku’s journey and his friendships.

‘My Hero Academia: You’re Next’ is a filler movie for class 1A. The animation was solid, and the students stay true to their hero code, but the story was bland, predictable, and way too corny.

My Hero Academia: You're Next does all that the other my hero academia movies do with that same structure of how these new villains are introduced and with how are they tackled but with one greatly changing factor, a very different midoriya. this movie follows the end of season 6 but around right before any season 7 elements and so we can see how not only does midoriya's season 6 reputation proceed him as he is recognised in satisfying fashion but he also has some spine behind those blows he delivers. the movie follows very italian themes and thats most noticeable with its soundtrack delivered beautifully by the oneand only yuki hayashi which should bring promise to anyone familiar with his work. all and all its the same my hero academia movie with the a bit more spice. why would you or should you go? its nice every now and then to see anime on the big screen with those quality speakers (especially action). movie budget on animation is always a visual spectacle although i'd have to say its pretty tame animation until that final segment which honestly im not too personally salty about as it delivered it beautifully and last but not least it offers a tad bit more narrative than some of the other movies with this new side cast that it follows alongside the UA students. My Hero Academia: You're Next, is averagely good and theres nothing wrong with that.
