An incredibly moving film. It made me feel similarly to the way I felt after watching The Age of Innocence. It's that forbidden love thing - and the impropriety of doing what you want to do when society and its rules frown on your doing so. There's not a ton of action or dialogue in this film, but every scene and every movement is important.
