Throughout, it’s difficult to sort the contrivances that writer-director Jason William Lee is parodying from those he’s indulging.

There is an enjoyable fight scene and the production design and cinematography of “Funhouse” do what they can with limited resources. One wishes the script hadn’t been the most limited resource of all.

The action in Funhouse is consistently cheap and generally silly. That’s sort of the movie’s point, but it’s also sort of hard to care when everything else is so tacky.

I wanted to watch a horror movie and I got it. It's brutal. The ending was horrible and could have had a lot more twist. Otherwise a good movie for those who like "Death Game" horror. Well worth a watch.
