Pallenberg’s creaky slasher film is one that you’ll either love or hate, and while many will opt for the latter, it’s good campy fun with some of the dumbest scenes you can grab from a slasher of this decade.

A distinctly tongue-in-cheek slasher made in the autumn of the genre’s popularity, Rospo Pallenberg’s (EXCALIBUR) Cutting Class is a lavishly mounted and self-aware take on the genre’s best loved tropes.

Cutting Class does a nice job of concealing the killer's true identity, even as it leaves a trail of clues pointing to him. However, this sloppily directed, indifferently written black comedy fails to create sympathetic characters or even deliciously nasty ones.

Dire, B-movie cheese throughout, this gives no clue that Pitt - or anyone else involved - could ever have a career in Hollywood.

"Decent" slasher, not much slashing tho (even in the unrated cut).Brad Pitt is hot (and cannot drive for ****), evil psycho kid is also hot. Roddy McDowall (!) is a creepy sex pervert, but don't worry, the girls are into it. Wtf is Hitchcock from BROOKLYN NINE-NINE doing here?!The score slaps!Paula's father is still alive?! After how many days?I forgot how the film ended because I emptied my bottle of wine at that point.
