Borat was a very mixed experience for me. On the one hand I appreciate the commentary on the many things this film touches. On the other hand I don't like when movies try very hard to be funny, because it's going to be a hit or miss. And it was definitely the case here. Most of the jokes are extremely stupid or offensive, but not many of them landed for me, because I have either seen them before or they felt forced to me. Azamat is my favourite character, I loved most of the gags he was involved in and his dialogues felt natural, maybe because of the actor's delivery. The direction is good, but I genuinely thought this was an independent film from the way it looks. I guess they tried to make it look like a documentary, but instead it looks like a very low-budget film in my opinion even though it was made with a budget of $18 million. I also don't appreciate how the production this film was handled, especially how they handled the non-actor people who have roles. Borat can be funny for many people and I get it, but most of the jokes felt forced to me.

Too much vulgarity. I give 6/10 like the times I laughed. Overall I don't recommend it.

Una película que no necesitaba una secuela, mucho menos una tan politizada y con un mensaje que crítica solo a una postura política cuando en la película anterior criticaba a todos por igual. El humor se pierde y en algunas escenas es muy forzado.
