Waves is a game designed to be a quick distraction: ten minutes here, ten minutes there. Each of the game modes accommodates that, but the game itself doesn't let you just switch off and blow stuff up without thinking.

A great value for a little price: Waves is, simply, one of the best twin stick shooter of the last few years.

A frighteningly moreish game that represents ludicrous value for money, and is highly recommended to anyone taken to competitive twin-stick shooters.

Despite a few small issues and the disappointment at the lack of multiplayer of any kind, I still found Waves to be a highly entertaining twin-stick shooter with some really interesting rules to keep the formula fresh.
