The Precinct is a great sandbox with good ideas, a solid world structure, and a light but functional simulation of a police officer's life. Its campaign can feel repetitive after a while, but nothing that saving the city in varied ways can't fix. However, don't expect a GTA.

Feel free to give this one a go and milk it for all its perks to reach the top of the ACPD, but you may want to send this one down with a DUI once it's all set and done.

The foot chases are a delight, the town of Averno is an interesting location to explore, and there’s a couple of side-cases which actually ask the player to participate in finding evidence and solving a crime. These diversions are wonderful and offer a glimpse of the kind of experience that The Precinct seems to want to be — unfortunately, that potential is let down by too many poor mechanics and a plot that doesn’t do it job.

The writing is really bad. I tried to go along, but it's just way to predictable and overall seems kinda childish. Not how people talk. Shooting is pretty unresponsive, doesn't feel good.
Everything else is pretty decent. Missing GTA 2 vibes.

I do have a lot of fun playing this game. The limited edition is superb, I loved it!

What an incredible game. It didn’t promise much and somehow delivered everything. I was genuinely impressed. The world destruction is amazing — almost everything in the environment is destructible, which makes the experience a lot more **** story is good, although it’s short, and the map is quite small as well. There are a few annoying bugs here and there, so because of that I give it an 8/10.Still, it’s a great game. One of those simple games that end up being way better than a lot of AAA titles out there.

The Precinct is an impressive sandbox romp. Fueled by a dynamic crime system that offers up hours of fun, bite-sized objectives, it's a very difficult game to put down. Every patrol is different, and although tedium does start to set in as the campaign approaches its conclusion, it's still easy to appreciate the intricate and tight design of this ode to old cop movies.

I put 18 hours in the game Soo far, And I have to be honest it is a very good game! As others have said it's like old school GTA, but you are a cop. The more you play, the more rewarding and addicting it becomes. Best Game I've played this year. Thank you Fallen Tree Games! You are a very talented and passionate game developer.

The Precinct has a great action and narrative proposal, but it needs to fix some things. Although the repetition of missions is a bit annoying, this feeling could be softened with some improvements in the control system, both on foot and in cars, the latter mainly. Otherwise, if you like old-school police films, you will be able to enjoy this game.

It's a shame that The Precinct ends up being an uneven title, perhaps due to some archaic systems, its predictable story, and its repetitive gameplay loop, because there was potential for so much more here. Still, fans of the GTA formula can find something to entertain them for a few hours, as long as they don't expect anything on the level of Rockstar.

The Precinct is a peculiar case. Its roughly ten-hour campaign doesn’t offer many thrilling moments: mostly talking heads and crazy criminals. Yet, it's surprisingly enjoyable in small doses. One would have hoped Fallen Tree Games had focused more on the story and clear objectives, rather than just a day-by-day shift cycle.

During my entire playthrough of The Precinct, the things that bothered me the most were rarely the base game, but the elements layered over it. This could have been a great, unassuming game about checking parking meters and occasionally trading shots, but the need to add more bombastic elements waters down the parts where The Precinct actually excels. In an ideal world, Fallen Tree Games drops some patches focusing on the quality of features rather than quantity. The Precinct is a lukewarm dish served after waiting for 2 hours. I don't hate it, and I'll still eat it because I'm hungry, but every bite reminds me of how good it could have been if they'd just done it right. As it is now, you're better off chasing your cop fix elsewhere.

This game is the best police SIM I've ever played, it's got a great arcadey feel with a game loop that keeps you engaged and wanting to play just one more patrol. It's very methodical in the way you arrest and book somebody in, very cathartic in the same way Papers Please is. I've been waiting for a police game like this my whole life. Big old school GTA vibes, from the style to the "respray" to fix your car. Room for improvement with some logic bits like when 2 perps get out a car and your partner doesn't really do much. Would love an option to keep him in the car as well when doing a traffic stop or parking ticket as it doesn't feel very logical for him to hop out when I'm just quickly popping a ticket on a car. Also, would love to see the descriptions for what each car does well again, not just the one time. Seems to be missing from the info tab in the menu. There are a few bugs, but nothing game breaking so far. Mainly a few weird ragdoll effects. I really hope this game gets the love it deserves and gets continued support (both free and paid). Devs, you should be proud.

Un jeu plus routinier, visuellement agréable. Le côté rétro du jeu est un vrai plaisir. Le jeu aurait cartonné si le scénario avait été plus présent, car il y avait un vrai potentiel.

Decent police sim, but once the story is over the activities are not that interesting.
