One of the best adventure games of 2004 and likely the best ever to deal with a futuristic, Orwellian theme of corruption and conspiracy. Story, dialogue, character development, settings, artwork, acting, and music are all superb.

With the exception of my two gripes; this offering is, in this reviewer’s humble opinion, on a par with the big games produced by Lucas Arts, Access, the “old” Sierra, and more recently, Microids.

The conversation puzzles are interesting in their own right because the dialogue is so good, but essentially amount to covering off all dialogue paths until you discover what you need to progress in the game.

If you're looking to spend more than 20 hours interacting with virtual characters and solving puzzles and mysteries than you too will want The Moment of Silence.

With its well-written futuristic plot, unique locations and sci-fi graphics this particular gem doesn't deserve a moment of silence, it just demands to be played.

A quality adventure game, filled with intriguing dialogue, smart puzzles, and a gripping storyline that will keep you glued to your keyboard. It is only hindered by a few nagging gameplay issues, mainly in the character movement.

At times completely consuming and gripping, at occasions unintentionally abstract and annoying.

While it doesn’t exactly re-invent the adventure genre, The Moment of Silence is undeniably a well executed and solid title. So, if forced perspective backdrops, plausible puzzles and pulp fiction-like character and plot development are your bag, you could certainly do a lot worse than pick this one up.

Sound-wise, Moment of Silence pulls the game off practically perfect. The voice-overs for the characters all seem professionally done and add an extra touch of polish to an otherwise solid game experience.

The sheer quality, and depth put into developing the world found in Moment OF Silence, and the astonishingly high quality storyline pushing you along as quite the perfect rate is quite dazzling.
