SYMPHONICA
The enthusiastic shouts that greet immaculate performances may be too generous a reception for Symphonica, but this disarmingly good-natured game is certainly worthy of appreciative applause.
There are a few niggles surrounding Symphonica: the story's ridiculous, there's far too much cut-scene waffling and the beats are ever so slightly off, but we had a huge amount of fun playing the game. Anyone who enjoys rhythm games should definitely check it out.
On a mechanical level at least, Symphonica is a decent rhythm-action game, with lots to keep your fingers busy across a variety of proven tunes, but the overall presentation and attention to detail lacks the x factor that iNiS is best known for. Yes, it's a comeback, but it's not quite the comeback we hoped for.

An excellent rhythm game that features responsive controls, plenty of challenge, and a cute storyline. Symphonica doesn't hit a single sour note.

Far to be fresh or polished as iNiS' previous games, Symphonica is still an excellent rhythm game. A must have for everyone who likes classical music.

Square Enix and iNis could have built a worthy and lasting entry into the rhythm game space with moving classical music setting it apart. Instead, they took the focus off the music and the gameplay and put it on an unnecessary and unoriginal story.
