Shoppe Keep
If you were thinking about leaving caves, dungeons, dragons... with the idea of relaxing in a little medieval shop... well, maybe you're going to live another great adventure. Shoppe Keep will give you plenty of hours managing a fantasy medieval shop where you will able to sell a lot of items, where you will have to avoid thieves getting your items and trying to obtain some profit in the process. Especially recommended to people who enjoy management games, but also enjoyable for people who like RPG games and want to try something new.
Shoppe Keep is a management game that delivers depth, innovative gameplay, and decent functionality. The problem, however, is that it doesn’t come without a fair share of issues; lengthy loading screens, poor UI, and wonky controls. This would have been a much better game had the developers spent more time optimizing and fine-tuning it for console.
If you put a good amount of time, effort, and have an amazing eye sight, then you might be able to get some good results from the game. It does have an unfinished vibe and there are a few bugs that need a lot of fixing so hopefully the developers will be able to fix this soon (even though they have already started on Shoppe Keep 2).

I’ve heard a lot of mixed opinions about Shoppe Keep but even though I’ve heard some not so good things about it the unique idea within the game still interested me a great deal. Without a doubt after spending a good deal with the game it is definitely a mixed bag and unfortunately the enjoyment levels can be dwindled by the game’s shortcomings. Like I said earlier I found the concept of the game to be very unique and when everything clicks Shoppe Keep provides you with a very fun and very addictive experience. Unfortunately though the game does carry with it a lot of frustrating moments and I found most of them to spring from the controls. The controls feel awkward a lot of the time and they take quite a while to get used to making it evident that the game first started out on the PC. In terms of replayability the game has quite a lot and that’s mainly down to the vast amount of unlockables you can obtain. I will say though that the game can be quite difficult at times and you will without a doubt feel overwhelmed in certain places which will be off-putting for some. Despite the difficulty my interest in the game didn’t dwindle too much because they do a wonderful job of keeping things fresh, which I must admit surprised me a great deal. As you progress through the game though you will see a number of technichal issues present themselves and these issues can be big and small, but whether they’re big and small they all end up harming the fun factor somewhat which is a shame. Despite these technichal issues I did actually like the presentation side of the game even though it won’t be for everybody. Visually the game has a real old-school blocky look to it and I actually found it to be pretty charming. The sound design whilst nothing special also carries with it a certain charm and I found it to carry a certain warmth with it as well. At the end of the day Shoppe Keep is a game that you can sink a number of hours into but you will have to look past it’s problems, which are present a lot of the times. I will say though that these problems can be sorted quite easily with a few patches so none of them are particular major but they do encroach on the fun factor of the game. As it stands at the moment I would recommend that you wait before purchasing this, but I will say it does just enough to get a small recommendation from me.

It has a completely original concept, delivers a great bit of sim-based fun and comes with some wonderful ideas. But the controls can be tricky, and there are glitches that are occasionally annoying; it is these which are key to how much time you'll invest in this game.
