Shad'O is a classic tower defense characterized by a beautiful artistic design and a fairytale atmosphere. Unfortunately it is quite repetitious and it has some difficulty balancing issues.

Shad'O is a beautiful story of overcoming one's fears wrapped in a TD-style gameplay.

Shad'O may not offer much in the way of new gameplay mechanics over the countless other tower defense games already available, but it distinguishes itself through its striking art design and compelling narrative.

Shad'O has a nice story which is interwoven with classic tower defense gameplay. The gameplay doesn't offer much innovation but the beautiful surroundings sure make up for that.

As an independent game developed by a little french studio, Shad'O couldn't rival the big productions that were released this last year. But as a Tower Defense title, Shad'O appears to be interesting. Its scenario, its poetic atmosphere and clever gameplay features bring something original to the IP compared to similar titles. The main problem is its unbalanced fighting system, some of the different units under our spell being either useless, or enter the fight too late leading to unpredictable sessions.

Shado'O offers a solid tower defense experience, albeit one that doesn't take advantage of its unique setting and story. While mechanically sound, despite some frustrations when it comes to unit placement around the fog, it's nothing you probably haven't played before.

A classic but nicely designed Tower Defense game. with few modes of play. There is some balance issues, but for a newcomer in the genre, its difficulty might prove interesting.
