Ravenswatch masterfully blends dark-fantasy storytelling with engaging roguelike mechanics. The unique characters, each with distinct abilities and rich backstories, elevate both the narrative and gameplay. While the secondary missions can feel repetitive, the cooperative dynamics and high replay value make it a standout title for fans of the genre.
Ravenswatch is an amazing experience any fan of roguelikes should play.
Ravenswatch is an excellent roguelike, one that's filled with clever gameplay design, lovely art, and just a really cool core concept. Now that it's fully out in the wild, I'm happy to wholeheartedly recommend it to basically anyone who's even tangentially interested, and while I do sort of hope they keep releasing new characters, it already feels more than complete.

it´s baffling how the same studio that made curse of the dead gods made this nonsense. it´s just so tedious and boring, they have no clue about scaling, after the f boss it all goes to **** enemy is just a sponge who you´re welcome to peck at for an hour. it´s NOT a roguelike there a few equally useless characters but they all have set abilities, you can get slight modifiers,. that due to the eggregious sponginess are so inconsequential as to not really matter at all. every run feels exactly the same. which is the antithesis to curse of the dead gods where what you find and how you built your run and consider the various synergies begtween weapons and skills can make or brake a run. in curse of the dead gods you hit hard but so do the enemies that made for challenging and decisive encounters. here you spend hours on one little spider with absolutely nothing to show for it. i mean i like the artstyle, music and even the more open levels but that´s wasted on utterly incompetent game design when it comes to everything else. if this had been cotdg just with a more oben map and more leaning into arpg this would have been awesome and that´s how it looks if you just look at a gamneplay trailer, but sadly alas, this is not at all what this is.

For such a small studio to create a game that, in my opinion, surpasses Hades 2 in some aspects is just mind-boggling. Each new character in Ravenwatch feels genuinely unique—not just in abilities, but in playstyle and strategy. For example, Scarlet’s ability to shapeshift into a werewolf depending on day and night, or the Pied Piper’s control over swarms of rats, feels incredibly fresh and fun. Every run offers the potential for a unique build, which greatly enhances replayability. Sure, the level design and progression system in Ravenwatch are still somewhat lacking, but the core gameplay loop is very fun and addictive. If the developers keep updating and polishing the game, I honestly think it has the potential to become one of the best roguelikes out there.

This is for me the multiplayer roguelite game of the year. So much fun to play, so many different builds possible, each character is unique in it's design and gameplay, the similarity of each map is balanced with the pleasure of undiscovered locations. And playing it with friends has been the best experience of multiplayer gaming for me since a while !

Ravenswatch is a solid tried and true roguelike with many different ways to play through the options of heroes available to players. It's difficult and rewarding for solo or co-op parties and does its best to be an interesting experience. With the diverse cast of heroes and challenging side quests, it's hard not to queue up several runs a day. Every character we have was given the care of a compelling story on why and how their tale took a darker turn. We see the developer taking something old and making it new for us once again. It's truly awesome to see old stories given new life to become something else altogether.

Undoubtedly, there’s an overabundance of action roguelike on Steam. But Ravenswatch’s selection of literary-based characters boast hearty arsenals that make combat absorbing. At present, fighting bosses in single-player games can feel tedious, so grab a group of buddies, if possible.

What happens when you mix Hades, Diablo, and fairy tales? This is Ravenswatch. Like Supergiant's Hades, Ravenswatch will start as an Early Access game, making it a great place to refine its core mechanics and flesh out its fantasy world. With new characters and gameplay updates coming after the launch of Early Access, Passtech Games has enormous potential for the next promising step towards RPG. They're off to a great start already, and watching that world and its gameplay evolve has got me excited to see where Ravenswatch goes next.

I was galvanized by the announcement of this title. I loved curse of the dead gods and I thought this would have been an even better version of that. I was completely wrong. The developers just focused on creating characters. That's all. There are no build. Every character have one real solid build, the rest of the combinations are just trash. Three. I mean..three map! Like a demo or an earlyaccess game. So also three bosses: all similar. All of them. Tentacular monsters with black ground and red shade. Period. I tried every character and I reached the endgame on the FIRST run for half of them. it's not a roguelike/lite. Trust me. You won't get stronger every run because there is nothing to improve. Eventually you unlock new abilities that will be available for future runs. The combat system is some sort of diablo like because of the abilities assigned to every button but forget the deep abilities tree or inventory. There is nothing here. You can't even change abilities!! Everything is pre assigned. This game is a shame. I'm so embarrassed for the developers. If you wanna spend 30 bucks for a one shot run for every character you can do it.. you'll have fun. But for one run only.

Only worth 5 dollar when become 80% off and fixing alot of things. -very very repetitive very very grindy (they do this because little content) action rogue lite game, samy bad small levels design, only 3 bosses with bad final boss, little enemy types and they are sponge, enemies so fast attacks they will hit u because no frame so u depending on attack faraway, will bored fast and disappointment. -only good alot of different characters to choose advice for try all characters once then choose only one character u like the most to maxed lvl.
