Though Raft may lack content once you’ve reached its closing moments, the lead-up to that point is a surprisingly delightful and novel experience. The basic gameplay loop of collecting and crafting keeps you busy, whilst a set of on-foot areas to explore keeps the gameplay ever-evolving and gleefully varied. An absolute solid co-operative choice, there’s an ocean of content to be found on this humble raft.

Raft is simply one of the most charming survival games I’ve played. Simply standing on my raft as it floats over the waves through an endless body of water is truly relaxing. There’s also a great sense of pride and achievement that comes with seeing what I’ve built every time I load into the game. It’s an easy recommendation for survival fans that may have been holding off on jumping into early access, as well as those just learning about the game for the first time.

Raft es una experiencia de supervivencia súper original y adictiva. Lo mejor es esa sensación de empezar en una tabla minúscula en medio de la nada y terminar construyendo una auténtica mansión flotante. La progresión es muy satisfactoria: ir recogiendo basura con el gancho para mejorar tu base mientras el tiburón no deja de incordiarte le da un ritmillo que engancha. Además, es el típico juego que con amigos se disfruta el doble, organizándose para cocinar, investigar o explorar las islas. Visualmente es sencillo pero muy agradable, y la música relajada ayuda a que las horas pasen volando mientras navegas. Aunque a veces la recolección de materiales se puede hacer un poco repetitiva y la historia es más un pretexto para seguir avanzando que algo profundo, el bucle de juego es muy sólido. Es un título que sabe recompensar tu creatividad y que te da una libertad brutal para diseñar tu barco a tu manera. Un 7,8 muy honesto, perfecto para relajarse y sobrevivir a la vez.

I bought it, I spent an hour collecting garbage in the sea on top of a wooden square and it seems that the game does not offer much more, I was on 5 islands and there was nothing on any of them

Fun game, allows mods, had several updates, manages to be a crazy time sink (588 hours so far - I do leave it running in the background a lot but I know I still put a LOT of active hours into it). Build, destroy and re-build your raft, hunts bears, sharks and more, dive deep into creepy abandoned underwater cities, follow a vague storyline that doesn't really matter but does give you scope for imagination if you want some story behind it... for a world covered in water with nothing to do but float from teeny tiny island to island, this game gives you plenty to do!
