Holy moly this ended up being a great time! 30 hours in and I still have so much to do for my little village

Words cannot express how much I love this game. While the main story isn't super long, the game has so much to do, and with events in the future to partake in, I doubt it'll get old soon

Everything feels like a chore. Which is funny because I love animal crossing. I don't know, I'm usually running around bored and when I find do find something to do it's boring and tedious. I can see how it's addicting. But I want to have fun while grinding. Also I hate Minecraft but wow I think I may like that better than pokopia?? Weird man. Pokemon is like my favorite series ever and this is just meh. The pokemon interactions are boring. And I guess I don't care to build. I just get hella anxiety playing this haha. I was trying to be open to it since it's pokemon. I like cozy games but this doesn't feel cozy. Maybe I need to keep playing? I feel like I don't want to force myself.

I tried to give this game a chance, but it just comes off as just a boring mix of Animal Crossing.

This game is not only boring, but it’s also overwhelming in such a bad way. Every Pokémon’s challenges are tedious and dull, and everything feels like a lot is going on for the worse, when I’m trying to build an environment, something else pops up and it’s way too draining, just like the whole game itself.

Prefect blend of Pokemon and Animal Crossing style building and customization with a large variety of pokemon as well as unique personalities that make the world feel more alive.

Genuinely, this game is such a joy. I already owned a Switch 2 when this came out, but my sister did not. So, I went half with my mom and we got her one because I could not imagine them waiting until Christmas to play this beautiful game... (pluuuus I wanted someone to play with LOL) This game is that worth it. If you do not have a Switch 2 yet and have been planning on getting one eventually, I truly believe this is the game to pull the trigger on. ESPECIALLLLLY if you are a Pokémon fan. Even if you are not though, this game might just make you a fan. Similar to: Animal Crossing Dragon Quest Builders Viva Pinata

It’s been several years since I last enjoyed a Pokémon game, but this time I’m genuinely pleasantly surprised. It’s nothing revolutionary and similar things have already appeared in other games before, but it’s simply cozy and above all, relaxing.

I can’t think of a single bad thing in this game. It’s just an absolute masterpiece. I enjoyed this game 10 times more than legends: Z-A.

I honestly don't like this genre. I hate Minecraft/Animal Crossing etc. But this formula is crazy, I don't know what the devs did.. great great work! Recommended

This game is a new form of game that deviates from the existing Pokemon game framework and raises the expectations of recent Pokemon games

Hi. I am a nobody who rarely puts review if the game I've played worth it. I spent about 30 hours playing this game and here is my review: If you are a pokemon fan who loved animal crossing new horizons, just buy it. The mechanics are amazing, you can be indulged with the story while building your towns. Listing to different soundtracks while playing hits your old soul. The pokemons have unique characters and emotics. The world is vast and exploring is limitless. The lore is kind of dark but you are the hope. I am not a Minecraft man, but this game gave me a new pokemon experience so much that I want to run away with my switch2. I still have skills to unlock and places to visit. But this game is peaceful enough to make me cancel any plans. Am glad I can experience this with my kids.

Pokemon Pokopia is an amazing game that I would recommend to anyone who even slightly enjoys so-called "cozy games". To anyone reading this who likes cozy games and/or Pokemon but does not own a switch 2 and/or Pokopia I highly recommend buying both. Also if you own a switch 2 but not Pokopia, you are neither mentally nor physically okay.

If you’ve played DQB2, that game is far superior to this, it’s like they took 10 steps backwards but since it has Pokemon instead, it must be better. The building, quests, customization, and world are all inferior to the DQB games. The map is tiny and dull. Building for your Pokemon is boring. I gave this 15 hours but I’d rather play Z-A.

I'm addicted to the game. I go to sleep thinking about it and wake up thinking about it. I spend hours trying to improve the Pokémon habitats. Best game of the year so far!

Great game, cozy and well made, as us fans of this brand missed since years. Everything, from music to plot, is really enjoyable and pokemons are finally vivid and brought to life (in the other games we usually see the minimum effort even in the characterisation of the characters). Maybe after hours and hours, tasks can be boring, but i'm comfy that over the time DLCs will come to help this game.

A wonderful cozy game for Pokemon fans. You could probably still enjoy it even if you aren't a Pokemon fan, but I'd recommend at least checking out either Pokemon Red, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Yellow, Pokemon Fire Red, Pokemon Leaf Green, Let's Go Pikachu or Let's Go Eevee first as this game's lore does tie directly to the generation 1 Pokemon games' story.

Fun and addicting sandbox masterpiece. Having played Dragon Quest Builders 2 which is an already masterful game, it takes the best parts of that game and Animal Crossing then combines it with the charm of Pokémon. Doesn’t get much better than this with this type of game, also appreciate there is TONS of content.

Pokémon Pocopia is a relaxing game where you cannot loose. It gives you a lot of tasks to accomplish so that you keep your Pokémon's satisfied. But you can make them with your own pace or do a part of them. There is nothing mandatory. The game time follows your local time. You can kill your time as much as you want, whenever you want. For me, this is the definition of a relaxing, cozy game.

Pokopia feels like a wonderful hybrid of Animal Crossing, Dragon Quest Builders, and Viva Piñata, wrapped into the cute and lovable package that is Pokémon. The environments are fun to clean up, rebuild, and get lost in. The mechanics of the game for the most part feel good, mouse controls help with some things but mouse controls can get uncomfortable after some time. One of my few points of contention with the game is actually that I wish there were less Pokémon in the game, and that the Pokémon that were here had more unique personalities. After 10-15 hours or so they feel like they are all recycling the same dialogue over and over.

Great game, feels like if New Horizons actually implemented the crafting system in a way that made sense and connected a lot more directly with the core gameplay loop. Also cleaning up the towns is so fun and relaxing, it almost feels like filling out a coloring book. Also also discovering and making homes for all the pokemon and seeing what they can do is super rewarding. Exploration is also rewarding because there’s plenty of unique and useful rewards you can find. On top of all of that the game’s story is also actually pretty interesting and fun to unravel which I didn’t expect! The writing for all the characters is pretty good too, each pokemon feels like its own distinct character. I love it and it’s a must play if you have a Switch 2!

Decided to give this game a try due to the reviews it was getting and I am genuinely baffled by how good it is. I usually hate these types of games, I think Animal Crossing and **** Valley are incredibly boring, but this is special. All the systems work so well with each other and the Pokemon aspects are implemented perffectly. It is now 100% worth getting a Switch 2, even if all you want to play for now is this game.

Surprisingly, my favorite game on NS2 by far. Pokopia has its own charming, the game looks and feels refreshingly in the best possible way. It's the jet fuel that Nintendo was seeking in a while. I can't imagine a world without Pokopia.

If pokemon, animal crossing and dragon quest builders 2 had a baby, it would be pokopia It's incredibly chill and own paced. Easy to get lost and forget about a quest while exploring, terraforming or building. From a gameplay perspective it's what ACNH should have been, and I think it raises the bar enormously for the next AC as well. The characters are nice and for one time we get one pokemon game that works great from day 1. The game opens up whilst advancing in the story, so you're not thrown in the world and confused what to do. Great game. DQB2 was one of my all time favorites and Koei didn't disappoint with Pokopia.

I feel that this is the best cozy game for the year. You can spend hours and I mean hours in this game creating habitats for new Pokémon in the game loop is amazing. Also, the lower scattered around the maps is great and a great way to tell what happened in the world. It’s the best Pokémon game in a long time if you’re a fan of animal, crossing, dragon, quest, builders, and viva piñata you’ll love this game.

If you love Pokémon, Animal Crossing, or just cozy games in general, Pokopia is an absolute gem. The world is vast, relaxing, and full of things to do. It’s the kind of game you open after a long day just to chill, explore, and smile for a bit. Simple, cozy, and surprisingly addictive.

Breezy and fun offshot of the Pokemon franchise maybe more enjoyable than the main line series itself. It's basically a builder type game but with Pokemon in it. It's a surprise hit on Switch 2 and along with RE Requiem, finally cemented this platform as a unique offering comparable or even superior in comparison to its competitors.

Haven't played a Pokemon game in a long time. This was really refreshing to see coming from the Pokemon franchise. It's like Pokemon meets Animal Crossing meets Minecraft. Who knew this combo would be so damn good.

This game is not only boring, but it’s repetitive as well. Pokémon as been in an all time low lately, and Pokopia is no exception. This game is so tedious and uninteresting that it’s just a underwhelming Animal Crossing clone.

Against all odds, it has turned out to be one of the best spin-offs in the series and one of the best examples of its genre. It's a huge game that has overwhelmed me at times, and I'll continue to play it from time to time to catch all the Pokémon, build my neighborhood, or whatever. It's perfect for playing while listening to a podcast or something like that. PS: -0'5 for the key-card format and -0'5 for an exaggerated price of €80 for a game of this genre.
