A delight for all trivia hounds. [Jan 2017, p.87]

Knowledge is Power? No. A kick to the groin of the winning player is power! This is a pretty standard quiz game, but those always make you pumped up for a round of trivia and friendly curses. So, gather your friends and play a game or two. If you have any friends left, that is, after your winning streak, Mr Know-it- all.

Even with these minor niggles, this is the game that proves Sony's smartphone service can actually deliver on its potential. [Jan 2018, p.81]

The best general knowledge game you can play with your friends. I wish we could skip the initial conversation. By the way, I can't find the game on PSN anymore, it's quite sad.

Great party game with high replay value. I love Knowledge is Power. It is the ultimate party game of choice when friends or family come to visit. It is easy to play, hilarious and overall, just a good way to spend some time. The game is just a 10 round quiz with two minigames and a finale, in which you answer questions about a certain theme, that is chosen by the majority of the players. An app is used to interact with the game on screen, which is loaded via the PlayStation. You got so called Power Plays to hinder other players, in which you blur their screens with slime, freeze answers so they need to tap through the ice and many others. My favorite one are the little bombs that one must avoid when tapping on the answer. If a bomb is tapped, the ugly face of the player who gave it to you is displayed Fullscreen. After 10 rounds, you play the finale on the “Pyramid of Knowledge” and the players answer questions as fast as possible. The one who is the fastest, jumps up five ladders on the stairs. The winner gets a scroll with a random fact that you probably never heard of. It is good fun and after one game, another one starts immediately most of the time. Grab a beer and lets go. Graphicly, Knowledge is Power looks jolly and colorful. There are some fancy effects and fireworks in the background and the animations are funny. Sound wise, the game is fine, the same music track loops over and over again, but with enough variation that it does not drive you mad. The voice acting of the host and the silly sound effects are on point. There are some small issues with the game. You got some instability issues sometimes between the connection of the phone and the PlayStation, character faces are not always replaced by the hideous selfie that you took to play as that character, and sometimes, your screen just does not respond very well. Then there is the slow pacing of the game. The intro, the explanations, the animations of the Power Plays, it takes forever. This is especially frustrating in the finale, where every player gets targeted by at least four or five of the Power Plays and you need to watch every animation of every character before moving on. But overall, Knowledge is power is just a great party game and I would recommend it to everyone.

Knowledge is Power is more than just another trivia game, it's a battle of wits and reflexes. The goofy characters and the ridiculous hazards will cause everyone to burst out laughing. Once you start a game, it might not be long before you realize you've played another five.

Imagine Buzz, but more colorful, with more ways to play and controlled with a phone. We’ve had a great time playing with friends, and if you enjoy this type of quiz show-like game, it’s worth your money.

Knowledge is Power is an entertaining quiz game, and based on my multiple playthroughs I’m yet to hit a question for the second time. It's Mario Kart-style item system ensures that most games are close, no matter the quiz knowledge. At the same time, the questions themselves are entertaining and varied enough that this one comes highly recommended for trivia heads.

While not the most robust of the PlayLink games, Knowledge is Power is still a fun, playable game show that family and friends will easily be able to pick up and play. Games are short, which means that it’s not something you have to dedicate a night to, but also sets you up for rematches galore. The questions are interesting and niche, which makes them harder while at the same time making you feel like you know the answer. The way they’ve implemented the Power Plays is a nice touch, allowing you to slow your opponents down in a game that’s all about speed. So if you’ve been liking the games that Sony has been offering with their new PlayLink initiative, Knowledge is Power is another one to pick up.

Knowledge is Power makes good use of PlayLink to open the door to those more familiar with tapping on phones and browsing the internet than knowing where that Square button is meant to be, and that’s its real strength. Outside of that, it has a few other ideas, but ends up as a fairly middle of the road quiz game that’s easy enough to put on the telly and your phones for a quick test of knowledge.

There’s not enough here beyond simple questions and answers to hold your attention for long, and that makes the game’s tedious pace drag on even worse. Get yourself some Trivial Pursuit and the drink of your choice for a far more enjoyable evening than this.

Занимательная игра для компании, все хорошо, за исключение малой базы слов, а так заслуженная 7/10

One of the greatest party games on the market. It is unusual that the game has multiple language dubbings from which you can select, making it also playable for people who don't speak english which is a plus.

If you want to play a quiz game do not play Knowledge is Power. You are not answering questions for 80 % of time instead you are watching silly animations, power picks, who gave power pick to who and listening to too talkative host. Fortunately we found "It's quiz time" - real quiz game with much more categories and questions.

Questions are good from an interesting selection of categories; each game has few slightly differet rounds of play to make things interesting, so this could have been a really cool trivia game. Sadly, the game moves at glacier speed thanks to loads of annoying animations that you cannot turn off or speed up in any way. The worst of all are animations of so called "power plays" that are supposed to mess up a bit the way your opponent answers their questions. Given that each player has to select a power play before each question round you end up watching the same set of few animations over and over in a single game. For example, a two player game takes 20+ minutes, but the time spent on interacting with the game is 5 tops. The rest is waiting for all the animated nonsense to play out. If you don't mind this hardly entertaining, unnecessary content you might enjoy the game, but for me and my wife this killed all the pleasure.
SummaryAnswer a massive variety of trivia questions to outsmart your opponents, with tactile challenges thrown in to keep you on your toes. This is all about speed and accuracy — are you up to the task?
