Gravity Circuit is a great side-scroller that brings back enough nostalgia with the right amount of authenticity, capturing our hearts and taking us back to the good old times.
Again we turn to the indie game devs in order to get a game that is this polished and satisfying to control. Gravity Circuit is really guilty of false advertising: It's way flashier and way more satisfying than what the store page description is telling you. Truly one of the best games of 2023.
Short but packing a hell of a wallop, Gravity Circuit delivers on most of what fans of Mega Man X and Zero would want out of a fast, challenging 2D platformer.

One of the most polished Mega Man games ever made. Tight controls, finely tuned fair but tough gameplay, incredible spritework and animation. I still have to play NewGame+.

The game looks great and sounds great. The writing and story are just okay, obviously derivative of Mega Man games. However, the game is ruined by a few key aspects. Number 1 - it has some of the worst level design I've ever seen. It is absolutely terrible. You can tell almost every enemy was placed in a spot to be a detriment, sometimes without you being able to even react. Number 2 - the reliance on the hook and diagonal inputs in general. I HATE it when games require diagonal inputs to make progress, since they are nearly impossible to perform precisely on a controller. There were dozens of cases where I took damage or even died, because the hook refused to cooperate. Last thing - some bosses. Don't get me wrong, they can be quite fun in this game, but there are some (cough cough Medley...) that are nearly impossible to read without having developer knowledge. There is so much happening on screen that it's difficult to focus on what the boss is doing, and the patterns seem almost nonsensical at times. My verdict is that nobody but the devs playtested this game.

Do you ever feel nostalgia for the old Megaman games, but dont wanna deal with limited lives/continues and the very outdated and sometimes unfair leveldesign? "Gracity Circuit" basically perfected the Megaman-genre.

Noisy Pixel
Gravity Circuit redefines the 2D platforming action genre with attention put on melee action systems that benefit all other aspects of the experience. Your skills are constantly being pushed to the test, but you aren’t allowed to get too comfortable as new abilities are unlocked with ever-changing level gimmicks keeping you on your toes. One look at this game in action, and it’s no surprise that it’s a must-play release of 2023.

Gravity Circuit contains the best parts of the SNES-era of 2D action platforming without the artificial difficulty spikes and frustrations. Its combat is fluid, easy to pick up, and exciting to master. Its pacing ramps up with the player. Its music is a nostalgia bomb of high-energy and synthetic charm. Yes, it’s a short play, but it contains enough content to satisfy most players and get them hooked into using Kai’s hookshot over, over, and over again. If this doesn’t sound like a love letter to retro platforming, I don’t know what will.

This game definitely is a must play for anyone who claims to like megaman games.... This one for me tops all of them including zero ones (and this says alot as i absolutely love megaman zero games) the gameplay super smooth and fast... Can be as easy or hard as you please... Full of challenges and fun lore.... Not to mention a glorious sound track! This game really deserves 11/10 rating... I can't even find a single fault to the game... A true masterpiece I've found people complaining of 2 things: 1st: the grappling hook... Well i actually find it truly ingenious and unique! Once you get the hang of it you will prefer to use iteven in places that doesn't require it... And when usedto take the minion corpse and toss it onto another it gives such immense satisfaction 2nd: the bosses and minions being easy... Well 2 words for me RUDE, HARD after finishing the game for first time... In newgame+ you find the option to make enemies "rude" giving them new moves and making them drastically harder... Have fun playing the best 2D game i've ever played!!!!

Theres a lotta good to be had. The character customization and movement is fire. It feels good to control until the parts that require the grapple. Bosses are reeeeealllly weak. The whole thing where they become invincible when you deal too much damage to them is super lame. The 3 final bosses are also not fun to fight at all. Its really where the boss invinciblility mechanic ruins the experience. The writing is idiotic and predictable. An action game does not nesccesarily need a story, but its hard to ever be really attached to the bland characters. The character designa are very cool tho. The music is SUPER mid. Overall, its fun to play, save for the bosses and the grappling hook and the destructible hazard blocks that respawn.

only worth 15 dollar ======= - 5 - 7 hour long. -will be very repetitive level design who played megaman series, not tight control, very bad hook control for platforming, useless bosses abilities (only useful shield and health), disappointment boring enemies and annoying final boss. -best part some good bosses, booster chips mechanic and at last not one hit death from spike, crushed and falls. -go buy it now for who want to try 1st time 2d megaman style game.

Damage on contact with enemies is an outdated mechanic that shouldn’t be in any modern game. I’ll give the game another try once they allow you to remove that, either via difficulty settings or some other way. Absolutely not fun at it’s current state.
