Euro Truck Simulator 2: Going East! is a must-own expansion pack for fans of the simulation series. The added countries and cities provide players with more variety and challenge, both of which were lacking in the original game.

For 9.99 Euro on Steam DLC Going East provides overall about 20 hours of avenues and thirteen new cities. The work of SCS Software is commendable, especially considering the variety of new paths.

If the only question that arises in your head after watching the gameplay video is ‘what for?’, this is not a game for you. But if you’re longing for never-ending summer, endless roads and countless toll booths on the highway, there’s no better choice than SCS Software’s new title. [12/2013, p.70]

Going East! is a decent expansion that unfortunately offers only new terrains and no additional changes. It's a dream come true for gamers eager to conquer polish roads, but everybody else should wait for a next add-on, that will surely appear someday. I'm a bit disappointed - I wanted something more, than just new cities and roads - new trucks would be great.

Going East increases tenfold the lifespan of Euro Truck Simulator 2 with many new cities and new interesting tracks, but the inherent flaws in the game have not been corrected.
