Despite the generic design of Eagle Flight’s story missions and the inability to reliably play online, it’s still a thrilling thing to experience in VR. It would be easier to write off were it a tradition, VR-free PlayStation game, but the immersion the headset offers makes it all the more fun and a good way to destress from the day.

Simplistic in scope, but oh so satisfying to play. [Issue#182, p.83]

Some conservative design can't spoil a thrilling experience that's close to a must for early VR adopters. [Jan 2016, p.64]

Very different, and I'll give the team behind it credit for trying something different. I enjoyed playing the game a lot for a couple of hours, but the two issues with it are: 1- being very repetitive (that, the studio responsible for) 2- poor graphics (we can only blame the limitations of the PS VR).

I wanted to like this a lot as it seemed like a cool concept but the graphics are awful and there just isn't much to the gameplay. If you have a weak vr stomach this will test you as well.

Sorry, but content of this game is too poor to consider it a full product. A shame, because I really like the concept and mechanics. Game has 2 game modes: Campaign is basically a set of minigames and nothing more. You have few of them - flying through circles time trial, flying through tunnels time trials, shooting enemies trials, catching fish trials. Gets boring very fast. Fun part of the game is multiplayer. The problem with it, is that it has just 1 game mode - capture the flag, and you can't even play that properly. The game doesn't allow you to play with bots, and finding even 1 player to play against is very difficult. So basically, capture the flag is the only fun part if the game and you can't even play it properly. That's a shame. If game would have at least a few more multuplayer modes, bots, and maybe a stage or two more, I'd give it a seven, but at its current state this game is more of a demo than a full product. It is little bit fun, as long as vr is still a new thing and you enjoy it for a very fact of flying.

Eagle Flight is quite simply, one of the most joyous experiences you can have in gaming and an utterly essential PSVR title.

This is the best VR experience I have had so far. The comfort on this game is great, even if flying fast around the city with real speed, the game success at making you feel comfortable all the time. This version of paris is beautiful, I love the colours and the art direction.

Really great game. The most fun so far with psvr and the developers have done really well making it comfortable to play. Can easily spend 3 - 4 hours at a time. Get it now you will love it.

Eagle Flight is a good surprise, and a pleasant experience; maybe it feels a little repetitive but in general terms is a good game for VR devices.

Eagle Flight is pretty much everything we want from a VR game. A fun concept with a great gameplay and no motion sickness. The only real drawback is the very light content for a 40€ game.

Eagle Flight is not a game for everyone because it will appeal rather to more casual players. Nicely done virtual reality and the bird's flight itself are, unfortunately, spoiled by not very imaginative tasks for which the game gives the impression as if it was pushed too hard to speed up the development.

Eagle Flight is a good VR game, but it's one of those games that wouldn't work otherwise. It's dated visuals and graphic style could be a turnoff to some, but it's challenge level and easy controls make the overall package enjoyable. The feeling of flight does excite the senses, and while it may not be the best title in the Playstation VR line, it's also not even close to being the worst. Pick this one up, especially if you like dogfight games and flight simulators.

Like so many other early virtual reality games, Eagle Flight feels less like a game and more like an experiment that was polished up and given a price tag. It’s a fun experiment worth experiencing, but it’s not worth $60.

Very fun VR game, as others said smooth graphics, good controls, no motion sickness. The tunnel vision I barely noticed while playing and doesn't bother me at all. It's just great flying around freely and there are several challenges to beat. Maybe not worth full price (really not many games are) but for 20 bucks or less I would really recommend this to any VR player.

Eagle Flight is VR game from the perspective of an eagle. Your constantly in movement in small open world going from race to race, of which their is a decent amount of types. With a great sense of speed and good graphics Eagle Flight is one the better PSVR games.

Paris looks great, and the controls are intuitive. Just wish you could take the tunnel vision off. They have done this to stop people getting motion sick, however I have no problems this way in VR, so would just like the option there in the options menu for people like me, who can handle it, to get a full screen view (like Windlands and Rigs do).

I may be in the minority here, as I've got a tough stomach and HATE fov narrowing, but it just utterly ruins the experience here for me. My biggest want for VR going forward is greatly INCREASED field of view, so it's maddening when devs intentionally narrow your vision to the size of a pinhole. Okay, that's exaggerating, but every time you turn your head, the field of view greatly reduces, perhaps by 40 or 50%. For me, this really takes me out of the experience and reinforces the already mildly present "horse-blinder effect" on psvr. It absolutely destroys all realism for me. Now I completely understand why Ubisoft had to add this - vr makes a lot of people sick, and this is one solution to it for fast moving games (though this game isn't all THAT fast). So it should ABSOLUTELY be included, and even be on by default, so the people who get sick don't stir up bad press. What's not excusable is not including turning it off as an option. Rigs did this right - they included the fov narrowing, but gave you an option in the menus to turn it off. Honestly it's so bad I can't get past the first chapter of the game. I keep trying and trying and it just breaks my heart. Worst experience on psvr so far.
