EA Sports College Football 25 delivers a dream for college football fans with its extensive licenses and authentic gameplay. The game excels in capturing the spirit of college sports, but for those who aren’t die-hard fans, the experience might feel too niche. It’s a celebration of college football, but its appeal may be limited to those who live and breathe the sport.
Beautiful and immersive, College Football 25 makes a triumphant return, offering a deep dive into American college culture.
When the dust settles, College Football 25 is a great game and an excellent return for the franchise for EA. The development team absolutely knocked it out of the park, taking the time and care to craft something really special. While not perfect, the attention to detail put into this project shows on many levels. I would recommend the game for any football fan to jump into, as it has a little something for everyone at every skill level—even an old washed-up gamer like myself.

CFB 25 does a really good job at bringing the franchise back and laying a groundwork for a series that has been dormant since 2013.

EA brought back Ben Haumiller who worked on the original NCAA series for a decade. To help build the game, they hired a team of guys who helped create NCAA Revamped, a modded-out version of NCAA Football 2014 that helped to keep the aging game alive. They worked with 134 teams to get every important facet of college football programs into the new game, including rebuilding every stadium for the new game. And they nailed every single detail.

The best American football game in a decade, with a career mode which will take over your life – along with fabulous levels of college pageantry and authenticity.

This game is one of my favorites. It's my go-to game when I have downtime. I love how EA keeps adding things like new jerseys for teams when they wear them and making changes like fixing some glitches, like the spin glitch and the O-line not blocking. I hope they add FCS schools into the game soon.

EA Sports College Football 25 is an excellent sports game, not only for its American football gameplay, but also because of its collection of excellent single-player modes capable of keeping the player engaged for dozens of hours on end.

When I heard EA was bringing college football back, I was fully prepared to play a game of Madden with college uniforms. In all honesty, I would have played it and been mildly satisfied. EA delivered a much deeper experience that easily carves its own identity in every way possible. Once EA learns its way around the restrictions of the NIL situation, the series will go to an even higher level.

College Football 25 is a success. Period. There will always be individuals who can’t accept EA Sports delivering a solid product, but I’m giving credit where credit is due. This game has gotten me excited about simulated football again—something that Madden hasn’t done since the mid-2000s. It’s not perfect, but nothing is. The year ahead with College Football 25 is officially exciting, and if Madden can replicate what it does well, it’ll be a glorious time for football fans.

EA Sports College Football 2025 is the return of college football that sports gaming fans have been waiting for. There's enough here to keep the avid and dedicated fans around for a good while, with Dynasty Mode and Road to Glory taking center stage. Control over dynasty players, playing defense, and not fully showing what controls are bring down the experience quite a bit, especially in the beginning hours. EA Sports College Football 25 is not for everyone, but fans will get enough out of it to keep the franchise coming back around each year, hopefully with improvements.

This game is pretty good! I thank the Lord that I can say that about an EA Sports made game. It's visually stunning and nails each team's traditions! The gameplay is buggy sometimes, but not as much to make you rage like Madden 25. I recommend!

This is the first College Football game in over a decade and i gotta say, it’s a pretty good game, now it’s not the best game ever but it is definitely worth the purchase if your into football as much as i am. Gameplay is smooth, looks fantastic, way better than the past 12 or so Madden’s in my opinion just a solid game. College is way better than pro anyway.

Once you get past the feeling of nostalgia and really sink your teeth into the game it's all bones literally nothing to latch onto its definitely superior to madden 25 but I hope that the next release has the necessary depth to not only make the game fun but make it competitive and entertaining

This game has so many issues that I don’t know where to even begin… But let’s start with the tutorials… Which you don’t even have. You have to scan aQR code and go watch a video. You don’t even get to play through it yourself so you can understand what it actually means. Nothing “actual game play” is really explained either. I’ve always hated Madden and how it played in comparison to NCAA back in the day and now College Football 25 is just the college version of Madden. My favorite part of the game dating back over a decade ago now, was playing with my friends through a dynasty. We’d pick the trashiest teams, and try to take them the the National Championship. Recruiting, playing ranked teams, and grinding our way to the top. Now, it seems the team rating system is completely arbitrary. The tough teams were the ones you either played at their place and had a tough atmosphere, or they were rated way better than you and you had to play smart. Teams that were rated worse than you could put up a fight, but it was never a guaranteed loss for you. It’s like the game is completely pitted against you now, and not just an objective observer. You start to win big, your defense then completely falls apart all its own. You get the momentum on a big drive downfield, your receivers stop running their routes and watch DB’s, Linebackers, AND EVEN DEFENSIVE LINEMAN, jump their routes and pick it off. They just STOP AND WATCH THINGS UNFOLD. It’s crazy. I played D3 football. Not a brag. It’s nothing compared to D1 as far as skill, athletic ability, top tiered coaching. But as a D3 wide receiver, the thing drilled into my head more than anything else every single day was, NEVER GIVE UP YOUR POSITION. Wide receivers become DB’s when the ball is in the air and it’s not where they can catch it. They do not watch the worst unfold like they are completely unaffected by it. They do not let anyone just jump in front of them and take their ball. They are taught to go get it. Get to the highest point and catch it, go out to meet the ball and don’t wait on it. Don’t drift lazily backwards and wait for it to come to you. It’s absolutely maddening, pun intended, to watch that be what every single receiver does in this game. The exact opposite of what they are actually taught to do, especially at that level. I’m not saying it never happens, but I am saying that it is certainly not the standard. If any receiver does that consistently, you don’t see them play for very long. Or possibly even touch the field again.
