Descenders can be entertaining for a few hours and although some of its mechanics such as controls and physics are sub-par compared to other games in the genre, it still offers enough cool gameplay moments to be considered an okay indie game.

Descenders is one of those rare games that procedural generation makes it less fun. I wish it was a fine-tuned experience instead.

Descenders isn't exactly the prettiest or most varied game out there. But as a virtual downhill experience in this day and age, you can't do much better than this game.

Tan malo, que es el único juego (por ahora, febrero 2026) que califico que abandoné a las 3 horas

This game has no production value what so ever, its slow and it feels very cheap, not only graphicly (which i could excuse), but also mechanichly. Not worth.

This game is amazing. The graphics are, well, decent at best, but they were good back in 2018 when it came out. The physics are responsive and quick, which is just what you need game like this. The procedurally generated levels always give you something to do, and are always a challenge. The bike parks are great to mess around on, and just generally have fun. It's this sense of freedom that we really don't get that often in modern games. This game gives me the same feeling I got when I played Forza Horizon 4 for the first time, every single descent. 10/10, would totally recommend for anyone looking for high speed thrill.

It’s a refreshing change compared to other entries I’ve played in and around the genre and one that ensures I’ll keep coming back to Descenders regularly for the foreseeable future. After all, a few more runs and I might just be able to make it through the forest completely unscathed.

After each descent you want more. More speed, more show, more fun, Descenders is the classic easy to play hard to master game, embellished with rogue-like elements that exponentially increase its longevity.

This game is so cool to pass the time. The atmosphere is relaxing and entertaining at the same time. The game carrer mode is progressively more difficult but at a ceratin time you get all the maps at once. However the game is not just about that and in the others maps proposed uou can dowhat you want and it is do cool. Great game

Downhill biking with relaxed drum’n’bass and the occasional stunt. A decent port with slight visual deficits compared to the PC original.

Descenders is a little rough around the edges, and it can be punishing, but there's a lot to get stuck into, with a satisfying gameplay flow and a brilliant soundtrack.

Despite an old-gen aesthetic and some minor issues, Descenders is a good downhill arcade racer with pretty good SSX and Tony Hawk's vibes.

Descenders is a game that once you get to grips with can be a lot of fun, unfortunately, it probably has one too many flaws for it to be considered great.

This is one of the best mountain bike games out there.
See, what other critics just focus on is physics, graphics etc etc, But they don't look at the small details.
For example, the suspension is completely and utterly perfect.
Or another thing, the pumping actually stops your bike from moving/swaying.
It is perfect little details that make me love a game.
One thing I do NOT like though is the FPV. It just doesn't feel like you are actually in the eyes of the rider. No camera roll, no sway, no anything. Just a fixed camera.
All in all, still one of the greatest games of the genre.

Game isnt much to look at graphics wise but the gameplay is actually pretty fun. I used to love to play downhill domination on PS2 and can say this is far superior to that.

This one is a mixed bag for me. Sure, it's fun at first, presentation is ok, generated tracks are random so you're promised to have some replay value, but then it gets dull and repetitive real quick. And then, when you want to actually win something, comes frustration. It might be good when you're starving, but there are other, better games to play.

SummaryDescenders is extreme downhill freeriding for the modern era, with procedurally generated worlds, and where mistakes have real consequences. Will you lead your team to glory and become the next legendary Descender?
