Blazing Strike isn't bad, but it fails to stand out in a market as competitive as fighting games. The characters and graphics are good, but the gameplay isn't very appealing and the story mode is terrible.

It remains to be seen how post-launch updates and community engagement will shape Blazing Strike’s future. The game could evolve into a hidden gem with time and improvement, especially if it manages to build a dedicated player base. For now, unless you’re eager to support an indie developer or are curious about its unique mechanics, there’s little reason to rush into this title. Patience may prove rewarding if the game receives the polish it needs, but at present, it struggles to justify its place among the fighting game ranks.

A game created by a single person who does better than triple A. A true homage to old-fashioned fighting games. Well done, deep gameplay and a breath of fresh air in games of this style.

(MY SCORE : 6 /10) 2D Fighting Game is actually quite exciting, it's just that the character movements and attacks are still quite stiff, and combo button inputs are often less responsive. In this game there is Story Mode, Arcade Mode, Vs Mode, Training and Online Mode. In VS Mode, the characters we can choose are: Jake, Shinsuke, Pink, Graffi, MJ, Alexander, Ryohei, Lei Long, Hana, Mateo, Oro, Nagi, Zero, Mochizuki, and Magnus. There are 5 difficulties in this game, namely: Sleepwalking, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Blazin. In Story Mode, we will become several characters, namely Jake, Graffi, MJ (Myoung Jae), and Mateo. The matches that we have to go through in Story Mode are: Jake vs Jake, Jake vs Shinsuke, Graffi vs Ryohei, MJ vs Hana, Jake vs Pink, Mateo vs Oro, Mateo vs Nagi, Mateo vs Lei Long, MJ vs Graffi, Mateo vs Jake , Graffi vs Mochizuki, Jake vs Magnus, Jake vs Erlik, and Jake vs Monster are the MATCH ENDING in this game. At the end of the story, Jake, Mateo, Graffi, and MJ meet Magnus. And Jake managed to beat Magnus and Erlik. After he was defeated by Jack, Erlik used all his strength to cause an explosion and turn into a monster! And Mateo Silva uses his body to protect Jake and his friends from the explosion! Even though Mateo died, Jake was finally able to defeat the Monster! There are a total of 5 Blazing to complete the Story Mode of this game!

There isn't much positive to be said about Blazing Strike other than it has a varied cast of characters. This 2D fighting game may be inspired by classics such as Street Fighter, but it unfortunately fails to live up to them on any level.

Credit where credit is due, The sprites in the game are great and look a lot like the game that inspired it (Street fighter 3) And the fact that one individual made this game is what let me hold on the physical limited edition copy (which is beautiful by the way especially everything it brings) However…that’s about where the positivity ends. I love supporting independent devs and try and purchase as many games as possible (especially in physical form) But man…The fighting would be great but the input lag from controller to tv (I have a 4K OLED tv on game mode) and it takes several seconds for the inputs from the controller to go on screen. The game has a story mode that (without warning) DOES NOT SAVE YOUR PROGRESS. You need to leave? Too bad you either beat it in 1 sitting or you start it all over. The text on the screen doesn’t match the aesthetics, The story is forgettable (but honestly that doesn’t bother me) It’s the fact that there’s a stamina bar for running and when it depletes you’re openly available for a barrage of attacks. It’s completely bare bones and honestly there’s no reason to even go back to the game once you’ve beaten it. No individual arcade character stories, The music is not good at all especially when you pause, I’ve been playing fighting games for 35 years of my life and I was so excited for this game, I found it strange that a 2D sprite fighter would release at $40 but thought that there would be plenty of options or a ton of modes or individual stories to hold you over, it doesn’t. Online is a ghost town, It’s just terrible. The fighting could’ve been great had it taken a little more time (it was already delayed over a year) but honestly the artwork is beautiful and the physical edition (limited edition) is very Nice but that’s about where the compliments end. I wish I had better things to say about this but I would save my money, hopefully the dev gets the next one right. 2/10
