It’s far from being ideal but all the glitches and shortcomings don’t ruin the overall fun of Battlefield V’s multiplayer experience. Although the single player portion of the game is not bad at all, I would have been disappointed if I bought the game just for it. [13/2018, p.56]

In Battlefield V we got back to WW2, but with refined gunplay and death system which works great. There are also little problems such as low number of maps and stability issues, that are taking the fun away, but nothing that can't be fixed.

A great World War II shooter that will grow and improve. Do not buy the game because of its singleplayer, but if you consider the campaign a bonus to the multiplayer, you will be satisfied. [Issue#291]

wen I started playing a few months ago it was great now I have been cheated on scores and all they do is overload one side and ban 70% of the weapons not fun anymore

For me one of the best BF, extraordinary gunplay, gigantic maps, nervous gameplay, the classes take on their full meaning with distinct weapons for each of them, one of the best destructions with BF1, one of the best sound design, one of the best OST, don't miss this FPS among the best.

I think it’s a great game, but I’ll only rate it based on the campaign mode — since that’s the one I played. The campaign is amazing, and the story of each mission is really touching. The ones I enjoyed the most were the tiger tank mission and the one about the Senegalese soldier who fought in France. The Senegalese soldier’s story was the one I appreciated the most — it even made me cry at the end. This kind of story is something I’ve been waiting to see for a long time in WWII games — stories that don’t usually appear in mainstream history.
I also liked the stealth element added to the game, which is completely optional. You can, if you want, just shoot everyone and keep progressing — but it’s really difficult to do that on the higher difficulty mode. This adds more realism to the game in my opinion, so that’s a big plus for me. Overall, I really enjoyed playing this game. The only bad part is when it ends.

Battlefield V brings a lot to the table. Between the great gameplay, superb story from singleplayer, and customization of your character, there's something for everyone.

Battlefield V does not reinvent anything but improves every aspect of Battlefield 1, except for single player campaign duration. And it's still missing some relevant contents, but it will grow with tons of free stuff during the next months.

Without taking any risks, Battlefield 5 is a nice follow-up that vastly improves on BF1's recipe with more open solo War Stories, and a rejuvenated gameplay that puts the emphasis on team play through the brand new squad system.

On day one, the game feels a few reinforcements short to pull off the overwhelming victory we’ve come to expect given the series’ strong lineage.

Battlefield 5 is a good game, but not a great one. The multiplayer can be great fun when you find the right server, and the single player shines a light on parts of World War 2 that aren’t in the public consciousness. However, the stripped back multiplayer and several of the same old problems mean that I’m wishing that this particularly war had perhaps changed a little more.

While the core gameplay is still fun, Battlefield 5 is the most unstable and bug-ridden installment in the series since Battlefield 2. Even if the developers manage to patch the most glaring holes by the end of this year, there is no guarantee that they won’t abandon the game in a few months depending on sales and revenue from microtransactions. I would wait six months to see if anything changes for the better before buying.

Battlefield V fails to impress the same way Battlefield 1 did. By all means, give it a try if you’re a fan of DICE’s previous work, but know that you’ll have to put up with some pretty glaring faults.
