So much potential, utterly squandered with intentionally painful and obtuse controls. Playing this game will physically hurt you, from contorting the controller to try to accomplish various button combinations. The game is ridiculously unforgiving, you'll have to manually reset every delivery if you fail, or, if you're going for a crown, if you just barely miss the timer. Great potential here, but don't waste your time. They screwed it up, big time.
This game is just sloppy. I suppose they were going for realism, but it drops you in the wild with absolutely no introduction to the game mechanics. Want to build a fire? Great, figure which magic combination of buttons does that. Want food? Tough luck, you're already starving and there's nothing nearby. Want to pick something up? Good luck, the hitbox on items is tiny. They spent so much time on the art style they forgot it's supposed to be a playable game.
One of my favorite games! After about 2 minutes of playing I was hooked and couldn't stop thinking about this game until I had beaten it 100%. Amazing world design, with varied and beautiful locations. There are a number of simple QOL changes I'd make, and ultimately I deducted because it can be a touch buggy. That said, you won't regret playing this great adventure.
An exercise in tedium. As if the difficult power controls aren't enough, the timing of the game comes off as unfair. You get 2 minutes per hole, and you'll spend most of that waiting for your ball to be brought back in bounds. The par numbers they give are, for the most part, delusional.
I guess it wouldn't sell very well under the original title "Tedium" Fun puzzle mechanic, but sometimes it's just not fair, you can't see or understand what is killing you. Awful controls, very hard to wrap your head around. Needs checkpoints, some of the levels have a very long setup time, and you'll have to do it dozens of times when you can't figure out the correct solution.
